The #7 ranked Colts also got a match high 11 digs from Black as she earned the double-double in the win. Black has been the Colts' offensive leader all season as she is averaging 4.3 kills per set. The 5'8 senior outside hitter is just shy of 1,300 kills for her career as she has contributed over 350 kills in each of the past three seasons. She is a big factor defensively as well as she has over 1,100 career digs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='169519' first='Jenna' last='Leugers']</strong> - 2023 | Coldwater<br>In a match that proved to be very competitive through two sets, Coldwater took control in set three and cruised to the 3-1 win over Galion to advance to the state round. Leugers made the biggest impact for the Cavaliers as she led the offense in point scoring with 15 kills on 31 swings. She earned the double-double as she distributed half of the offense earning 16 assists as well. Coldwater had solid balance in their offense as four Cavaliers earned double-digit kills as collectively the team terminated 55 kills in the match.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='169125' first='Katie' last='Sowko']</strong> - 2024 | Lake Catholic<br>Sowko was big for the Cougars as they dismantled Independence with relative ease earning the 3-0 sweep while surrendering just 38 total points in the match. Sowko earned a double-double as she terminated a team high 13 kills on a .438 efficiency while adding a team high 16 digs. She does good work in the transition phase as her footwork is quick and fluid to get herself into position to build good momentum to use her big arm with good power and range at the top of her jump.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='227372' first='Kirsten' last='Bomholt']</strong> - 2023 | Versailles<br>Bomholt was a key reason why Verasilles was able to take care of business effectively and efficiently versus Summit Country Day. The Tigers won relatively untested in 3-0 fashion as Bomholt led the offense with 13 kills on 27 swings for a .407 efficiency. Bomholt also contributed eight digs and three service aces in the win. The 5'10 senior outside hitter recently surpassed 1,100 kills for her career as she has good elevation with the ability to control her arm well at the peak of her jump to move the ball around with good heat. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Brynn Briscoe</strong> - 2023 | Versailles<br>With 35 assists in their win over Summit Country Day, Briscoe was terrific in her leadership of the Tigers' offense. Versailles averaged 14 kills per set while hitting collectively at a .375 efficiency. Briscoe also added eight digs in the win. With a career high 849 assists for a season, Briscoe will surpass 2,200 assists for her career in Versailles' upcoming state semifinal match. She is a skilled setter that can distribute the full range of the floor while finding opportunities to call her own number offensively at the second contact. She contributes defensively as well as she averages nearly nine digs per match while earning over 600 digs for her career. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
