As evidenced last year, we didn’t see many young faces on all-state teams. That changed this year with quite a few freshmen and sophomores earning these honors.
Logan Parks Logan Parks 5'11" | S Blue Valley North | 2025 State #8 Nation KS – 2025 – Blue Valley North – First Team
The smooth setter and pin showed how important she was to this team as evidenced by the games she missed this year. She played great down the stretch in helping get the Mustangs back to the state tournament. She led the team in kills with 409 on the year. She also had 274 assists.
Ella Florez Ella Florez 5'9" | S Mill Valley | 2026 State KS – 2026 – Mill Valley – Second Team
We knew Florez had game coming into the season and she was key down the stretch in helping Mill Valley advance into the postseason. She posted over 200 kills and over 200 digs in her first year of varsity ball.
Lily Wedman Lily Wedman 5'8" | S Blue Valley West | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Blue Valley West – Second Team
The dynamic setter added a second-team all-state honor to her list of accomplishments. She handed out 902 assists in her second season to give her just under 2000 for her career. She added over 100 kills to help the offense score points.
Saida Jacobs Saida Jacobs 6'1" | MB Mill Valley | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Mill Valley – Honorable Mention
The 6’1″ sophomore had a solid year for Mill Valley. She delivered 183 kills and 106 total blocks while hitting at a .327 clip.
Jenna McClure Jenna McClure 5'8" | OH Blue Valley North | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Blue Valley North – Honorable Mention
McClure was an added offensive punch for the Mustangs this fall and her play earned her an honorable mention honor. She was second on the team in kills with 249.
Alea Goolsby Alea Goolsby 5'11" | OH St. Thomas Aquinas | 2025 State #36 Nation KS – 2025 – St. Thomas Aquinas – First Team
Goolsby was second on the team in kills with 345 kills in her state championship season. She contributed over 100 digs in the back row. She was nearly automatic on two balls down the middle this fall.
Reese Messer Reese Messer 5'11" | S St. James | 2025 State #6 Nation KS – 2025 – St. James Academy – First Team
Messer showed why she’s one of the top setters in the country snagging first-team honors in 2022. She had over 800 assists in a year which saw her lead them to the state tournament. She added 167 digs from the right-back position.
Maegan Mills – 2025 – Topeka Seaman – First Team
The 6’1″ sophomore saw her offensive production double in 2022 jumping to over 400 kills. Her play helped get the Vikings to the 5A state tournament.
Lauren Lopez Lauren Lopez 5'10" | OH Bishop Miege | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Bishop Miege – First Team
Lopez earns first-team honors after helping lead Miege to another state title in 2022. The pin was aggressive all season delivering 407 kills on the season. As a six-rotation player, she also added 251 digs from the back row.
Ayla Klingenberg Ayla Klingenberg 6'0" | OH Rock Creek | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Rock Creek – Second Team
Klingenberg delivered 366 kills in her sophomore campaign while hitting at a .353 clip. She saw her kill numbers more than double in 2022 to capture second-team recognition.
Hayden Grimes – 2026 – Andale – Honorable Mention
Andale had a perfect regular season and Grimes was a key contributor as a freshman. The state runner-up held down the libero position tallying 399 digs on the year. She was lethal behind the service line with 74 aces.
Kirston Verhulst Kirston Verhulst 5'8" | OH Bishop Miege | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Bishop Miege – Honorable Mention
We love the fearless play Vehulst brings to the floor and it came with an honorable mention nod this fall. She had 195 kills on the pin for the state champs.
