There are athletes who are really rising up the ranks, making a big impact this past high school season and will be primed for a big club season. Some are committed, some are on the radar of plenty of college coaches, and could be committing come 2023. This is a talent class, plenty of college level players, and here are a few that have been rising up!
Seeing Elliott last club season and seeing her again at the state tournament was like seeing two different players. Elliott has always been long and athletic, but her game has greatly expanded. She is a six rotation player who can now handle a bulk of serve receive and can also pass to attack. There is a ton of pop on her swing, she can swing from both pins as well as the back court. Defenders need to be squared up and now how to take a lot of pace off the ball when it comes to her swing. She will head to UNI and will make for quite a combination with some of their recruits coming in. Her Six Pack 17s squad will be in the hunt for an open bid in 2023.
Drake for a major steal in Beck who is so dynamic as a middle blocker. She plays high above the net and is really physical. When she is able to attack off one foot, it makes it really difficult for the other side to defend. I can see where she could be used in multiple ways throughout her career. For as good of a middle blocker she is, I could see her hitting on the pin as well. She is a multi sport athlete who can do a lot of special things.

Goad is another athlete who has such a physical presence on the court. She is a middle blocker for Marion where she had an impressive state tournament showing. Her dynamic skill set includes a plethora of shots and her blend of speed and strength provides quite the block. Out of serve receive, Goad was used on the pin where you could really see her fly. She is definitely a college prospect where she could be utilized in multiple ways at the next level.
Bixby has some scary potential, the progress she has made in the past year is impressive. There was a recent video on Twitter where it showed her jumping and grabbing the rim at a basketball practice. She has the ability to play on the right side or middle. Her length gives a lot of teams problems and she is only going to get better. This is definitely a sleeper who needs to be a sleeper no more.

Super impressive at the state tournament. Roush is a long, athletic, lefty right side from Ankeny. Despite a tough quarterfinal loss to Valley, Roush had ten kills in three sets of play. She has a high contact point and can use the whole court when scoring points. She has a high ceiling with what she could do at the next level, a definite point scoring mentality.

Absolutely electric! Carlie Willis Carlie Willis 6'0" | OH Grundy Center | 2024 State IA is a true six rotation outside hitter where she does so much for her side of the net, and gives the other side plenty of fits. I was able to see her live at the Denver vs. Grundy Center regional final and she put on quite the show. She was able to demonstrate her ability to go hard cross, deep cross, down the line, and tool the block. Very impressive. Grundy Center has quite a team where they also have another top 2024 in Ellery Luhring Ellery Luhring 5'8" | S Grundy Center | 2024 State IA . She was playing her base as a setter from the middle and I know she usually liberos for her CIA squad. The Spartans return quite a core group back and will have their eyes on getting to Coralville
