Wisconsin falls within region 6 which includes the states of Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. Iowa landed 6 and Wisconsin 14 on the list while Missouri has a whopping 38 and Illinois 36.
Schmotzer has been a fun athlete to watch grow over the years. She led Edgewood with 124 blocks and 217 digs this season. Schmotzer was a force at the net and has a career 533 kills, 343 blocks, and a solid .236 hitting percentage to demonstrate her dominance at the net.
The Spartans went 9-0 in the North Eastern conference and Flynn led her troops with 388 kills. You can see her love of the game shine when she plays and she moves with such a powerful flow its always fun to watch. Flynn finished her high school career with 855 kills while hitting .312 and adding 207 blocks.
Lipski was absolutely electric in the state championship match. No matter what set she got, she made something great happen, and usually walks away with the kill. Lipski led her team with 107 blocks all the way through a division 1 state championship.
Crull led her squad in 2022 to a 33-6 season with 412 kills, 116 blocks. She is another athlete we have enjoyed watching grow as she started out with all this potential and really turned into a bonified volleyball player. Crull accumulated 878 career kills and 334 blocks while hitting a scorching .398 hitting percentage.
Offensively, Fortune is unstoppable while she recorded 346 kills this season. She knew that a bulk of the sets will be going to Ella Demetrician Ella Demetrician 6’2″ | OH Appleton North | 2024 State #40 Nation WI and Fortune and between the two they took almost 2,000 swings. Even know she will get the ball opponents still struggle defending her attack. She came up behind a large group of talented pins and a covid season so her career totals include 458 kills, 334 digs, and hitting a .285 over 2 years. These are certainly not indicative to the impact she had on the program.
Defensively, Schmitz is an excellent ball handler. She has a flair for defense, and a precise and reliable passer. Schmitz led her squad with 618 digs while recording a career 2,154 digs and 140 aces.
She is the definition of a complete player and excels in every aspect of her game. Wagner led her team with 541 kills and 50 aces this past season while recording career 1,389 kills, 1,068 digs, and hitting a .272 hitting percentage. There really isn’t anything Wagner can’t do in the game of volleyball. She will head to Liberty next fall.
