Continue ReadingOliver, who was recently named to the Oregon West Conference First Team, is a dominant and steady right side hitter. As a lefty, Oliver is able to place the ball perfectly from the right side and uses her excellent court vision to score. She can also set well and steps in to make offensive plays when her setter plays the first ball. Oliver is also strong from the service line, too, posting 86 total aces this season.
Konzelman has been a force for West Albany this season. Hitting primarily from the middle, Konzelman is dominant at the net and puts up a strong block. She has played consistently all season, posting 75 kills for a .178 hitting percentage and 10 solo blocks. Konzelman’s steady play earned her an Honorable Mention for the Mid-Willamette Conference.
Highlights
As a six rotation outside hitter, O’Farrell is athletic, quick, and powerful. Her approach is explosive and her arm swing is fast, and she is incredibly quick in transition. O’Farrell is not just effective from the front row, but she is also excellent at defense and has notched a total of 311 digs this season. O’Farrell was named to the Central Valley Conference Second Team this year.
VanderPloeg is one of Mohawk’s team captains, and it’s no surprise why. She is a steady and dependable libero who is very effective defensively. VanderPloeg has posted an impressive 397 digs this season, as well as 330 serve receive receptions and 78 aces.
Villastrigo has been instrumental in Crook County’s strong play this season. As her team’s primary defensive player, Villastrigo is commanding in the back row and does not let many balls get past her. She is quick and skilled technically. She has notched an incredible 560 digs this season along with 96 aces.
Using her athleticism and quickness, Osborn has been a force as one of Creswell’s outside hitters. She has a fast and powerful arm swing, which she uses in combination with her excellent court vision to score for her team. Osborn has racked up 372 kills this season.
Cascade Christian’s setter Griffin is a dynamic and smart player who does a great job setting her offense up for success. Griffin has amassed an impressive 752 assists this season, using her high volleyball IQ to run her offense effectively.
As Newport’s libero, Hunter is a steady defensive player. She positions herself well in the left back and puts up nice high passes to help her team’s offense run smoothly. Hunter also has a killer float serve and excellent placement, which she used to frequently notch aces throughout the season.
Highlights
Wright played a big hand at leading the Burns team to success in its Eastern Oregon League win. As the team’s setter, Wright has been instrumental, posting an incredible 912 assists and 90 aces this season. Wright has done a great job showcasing her strong court vision and talent on the court and the service line.
Romane is an athletic and smart setter, bringing her team to a perfect 14-0 league record. She’s posted a strong 498 assists this season, along with 84 digs, 23 kills, and an impressive 53 aces.
