2025 Impressive DS/Ls at the Top 250 Expo

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the Top 250 Expo in Indiana this weekend, there was plenty of talent all under the same roof.&nbsp; I watched every athlete and picked some of my favorite 2025 defensive specialists, so let's discuss what makes them special here!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">[player_tooltip player_id='172333' first='Claudia' last='Antcliff'] (2025, DS/L)</span></strong></h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Antcliff is from Zionsville Community High School and is very good. She can go so low to the ground to get the ball up and to her target. I think she was the best libero I saw at the Expo today. She has a great platform, great passing, and has great setting skills as well. She is a very quick athlete with immense concentration. She does a very good job of passing the ball exactly where it needs to go, even if the setter is not where she is supposed to be. One of the things I noticed watching Hurrle is that she is good at making things happen when things go wrong. She makes them better and sets up her team for success.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">[player_tooltip player_id='152934' first='Peyton' last='Ridge'] (2025, DS/L)</span></strong></h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ridge is from Speedway High School and was a really stabilizing influence on the defense when she was on the court. She has a great platform, can hit a moving target when passing following serve/receive, and has a great understanding of the boundaries of the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":4} --> <h4><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">[player_tooltip player_id='216041' first='Cathryn' last='Erwin'] (2025, DS/L)</span></strong></h4> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Erwin is from Lutheran High School and is a great back-row player with an awesome back-row attack! She had a solid day as she attacked the day with a great attitude, competed and had some highlights that set her apart from the bunch. Every pass was well-placed, everything was up, and she is very fast. She knows where she is supposed to be and is there every time. She is the kind of player who makes players on the other side of the net frustrated.
