The Class of 2025 put on a real show at the Michigan Top 250 Expo in Pontiac this past weekend.

With a total of 54 prospects in the class at the Expo, there's a lot of analysis to get through.

Here's our second part of the 2025 player evaluations.

[player_tooltip player_id='187070' first='Alayna' last='Esselink']

[player_tooltip player_id='187070' first='Alayna' last='Esselink'], MH Richmond/Monsters

Esselink worked in a lot of successful offspeed attacks that showed she can read her blockers well and know where open spots are on the floor. She adapted quickly to her setters and didn't try to force a power swing when it wasn't there. When Esselink did wind up, she had solid power.

[player_tooltip player_id='156298' first='Chloe' last='Giehtbrock'], S Clarkston/L2

Giehtbrock is a very polished player that can play almost anywhere on the court. She's shown the ability to hit and defend at a high level, but that seems to have made her more confident and in control as a setter. At 6'2”, she's got a lot of advantages for the position. Giehtbrock stays very light on her feet and has a very smooth set.

[player_tooltip player_id='261215' first='Zoe' last='Goodwin'], DS/L Dakota/Michigan Elite

Goodwin worked well in her drills, making sure she got to her spots and still deliver a good pass even when having to scramble. She made a lot of impressive digs throughout the Expo that looked like they could get away from her, but she had that quick last step to close a lot of ground.

[player_tooltip player_id='261184' first='Liz' last='Grajewski'], OH North Farmington/High Performance

Grajewski had a very smooth delivery and was able to consistently bring a strong swing time and again throughout the Expo. Her arm never tired and her form remained consistent throughout. That also carried into her defensive play, where she seemed to get stronger as the event went on.

[player_tooltip player_id='179732' first='Isabelle' last='Henry'], MH Clarkston/L2

Henry was a prospect who put a lot of pressure on at the net. Her vision allowed her to be a real blocking force and a pain for opposing hitters. Offensively, she adapted well to her sets and was able to find open spaces on the floor. She also was a vocal and supportive player that encouraged her peers.

[player_tooltip player_id='261200' first='Natalia' last='Hoffman'], DS/L Dakota/Michigan Elite

Hoffman kept her head down and grinded through the long event. She was a defender that quickly adjusted and corrected her errors and came back stronger with the next rep. As her confidence grew, she brought out her best and was making some difficult passes look easy.

[player_tooltip player_id='261180' first='Korin' last='Hutton'], S Anchor Bay/Michigan Elite

Hutton was a communicator that did a good job of taking control of her teammates during group drills and scrimmages. She had a good set and received feedback from her hitters and was able to quickly apply it.

[player_tooltip player_id='261159' first='Haley' last='Jarvis']

[player_tooltip player_id='261159' first='Haley' last='Jarvis'], MH Dakota/Michigan Elite

Jarvis is listed at 5'11”, but plays much longer. She's got good anticipation for blocking and quickly develops timing with her setters. Her swings look relatively effortless, but generate a lot of power and come at a sharp angle.

[player_tooltip player_id='261122' first='Alyssa' last='Jasman'], DS/L Canton/Michigan Elite

Jasman was very controlled in the back row and during her drills. She never looked overwhelmed and that led to a lot of smooth passes and digs. Her serve receive was always on point. Jasman also was able to make the quick sprawl to secure a tough dig.

[player_tooltip player_id='156309' first='Lauren' last='Johnson'], MH South Lyon East/Michigan Elite

Johnson was a high-motor player that moved very well around the floor. She was an eager player as well that gave max effort with each rep and each point. At 6'1”, Johnson uses her size and her athleticism to play above her opponents and catch a lot of eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='261193' first='Mallory' last='Johnson'], S Churchill/Force

Johnson was another high-motor player that was making plays through her energy and hustle. While maybe not as technically sharp as some of her peers, Johnson made up for it by staying active and being willing to make the tough plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='261188' first='Madisyn' last='Kennedy'], DS/L Rochester/Legacy

Kennedy was a defender that always stayed with a play. She didn't give up on a point until the whistle blew. She stayed very active and didn't lock herself into a spot for long. Kennedy also stayed low to the ground at all times to be ready to get under opposing attacks.

[player_tooltip player_id='261207' first='Sharayna' last='Luckie'], DS/L Lutheran North/Great Lakes VC

Luckie looked a little apprehensive and quiet in the early going, but she let her play speak for itself. She was a tireless worker that made a lot of highlight-reel digs. Luckie looked locked in and motivated once she found her legs and clearly had an edge about her play.

[player_tooltip player_id='261196' first='Megan' last='Mackinder'], OH Stockbridge/MSF

Mackinder is able to generate a lot of power without looking to have to put in much effort. She was consistently putting a lot of pop into her attacks. Mackinder doesn't have the vertical as some of her fellow hitters, but she can bring the heat as well as anyone. That also applied to her serving.
