She led Class 4A in blocks (153.0) and ranked fourth in Class 4A with 399 kills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168177' first='Brooke' last='Ellyson'], OH/DS, Mount Vernon -</strong> The versatile Ellyson helped the Mustangs reach the state tournament with her play. She ranked fourth on the squad in kills (167) and fifth in digs (152). She added 41 aces and 15.0 blocks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Izzy Frees, DS/S, Solon - </strong>Frees took a step forward this fall for a Spartan outfit that was one win away from the state tournament. Her 45 assists were the third most on the team. She also contributed 46 digs and nine aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168178' first='Michaela' last='Goad'], OH, Marion - </strong>Like Beck, Goad earned elite all-state honors in Class 4A. She pounded 407 kills for the state-tournament qualifying Wolves. She added 148 digs, 77.0 blocks and 34 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168180' first='Natalee' last='Hartman'], DS, Marion - </strong>Another standout for the Wolves in '22, Hartman led the team with 381 digs and ranked third with 36 aces. She served at a 95.0 percent clip. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Melae' Lacy, MB, Iowa City West - </strong>Lacy paced the Trojans with 280 kills and ranked second on the squad with 218 digs. The all-court performer also contributed 29.0 blocks and 30 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='447540' first='Clare' last='Mulholland'], OH, Goose Lake Northeast - </strong>The sophomore led the Rebels with 196 kills, hitting .305. She showed off her versatility with 113 digs, 12.0 blocks and 28 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='432377' first='Alysia' last='Perez'], S, Geneseo (IL) -</strong> The junior from the Land of Lincoln teams up with a collection of standouts from Iowa. She dished out an incredible 506 assists in '22. She added 156 digs, 23.0 blocks, 62 aces and 42 kills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='432378' first='Sam' last='Schrage'], OH/MB/RS, Clear Creek Amana -</strong> Her versatility was highly valued during the Clippers' run to the 4A state title contest. She delivered the third most kills (165) on the team and was second in blocks (79.0). </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='432380' first='Faith' last='Schunter'], RS, Cedar Rapids Prairie - </strong>Schunter appeared in just 11 matches (5 starts) for the Prairie Hawks in '22.
