Club teams from all corners will meet in the central part of the state on Saturday and Sunday. There's a heavy favorite and a bunch of talented squads looking to topple it and each other for a National Division bid, two American Division bids and a pair of Freedom Division bids. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Iowa United 15-1 Elite enters the fray looking for a nationals' bid. The group's core was on the club's top 14U outfit that was one of two Iowa teams to qualify in the Open Division a year ago. With that in hand before this tournament, it skipped regionals in 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The explosive operation is run by setter [player_tooltip player_id='754551' first='Zane' last='Ehler'], one of the state's best at the position, regardless of age group. The freshman, who was efficient beyond her years for Tipton in 2025, is above average at everything and well above it in multiple areas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='754657' first='Cyan' last='Blommer'] is coming off a super ninth-grade campaign at Iowa City West, where she operated as a six-rotation outside hitter for a Trojan squad that reached the state tournament for the first time since 2016. Solon freshman [player_tooltip player_id='754537' first='Amelia' last='Guinn'] provides United with another hammer at the pin. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The team excels in the middle with Iowa City West sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='697463' first='Audrey' last='Small'] and [player_tooltip player_id='750513' first='Caylee' last='Jensen'], a freshman at North Cedar. They're skilled, two-way performers at the spot, each one capable of taking over a match.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='893053' first='Makinley' last='Galvan'] solidifies the front row with her play on the right side, and Anndee (AJ) Majors adds multi-positional versatility. It's especially strong in the middle with two of the state's top ninth-graders at the position. Elizabeth Brunkhorst stands tall at the opposite pin, and setter Luela Craig runs the show.
