Houston Stop 2: Top 250 Expo Liberos to Watch

I am excited to see her perform with some of the best in the state and area. Gemma doesn't make very many mistakes on defense, and her reading is fast and accurate. Her length gives her an edge on the back row. She can reach balls that other liberos can't, and her long platform makes for really pretty angle passes. After watching her at Houston Stop 1, I was able to see her range on defense. Truly, nothing gets by her.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading {"level":3} --> <h3><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='235065' first='Cameron' last='Steger'] / [program_tooltip program_id='431337' first='Texas' last='Tornados'] 17 Adidas</strong></h3> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='235065' first='Cameron' last='Steger'] is a defensive specialist for [program_tooltip program_id='431337' first='Texas' last='Tornados'] 17 Adidas, and what I like about her defense is her solid platform and her ability to direct the ball back to target. She plays a good middle-back defense, and because of her length, she is able to reach balls on either side of the floor.
