The class of 2023 turned out to be another great group with D1 recruits down to JUCO recruits. We had tons of milestones reached: players leaving high schools with records from all over the area and leaving marks on the MSHSAA state record books. Here is a list of the Saint Louis Area First Team Members.

[player_tooltip player_id='168912' first='Holly' last='Heldt'] – Middle – Hermann

Holly will be one of the best all-around players from the powerhouse program. A six-rotation middle that can do everything on the court and probably could be a setter if needed. A monster approach allows her to hit with force and ends her career with 1241 kills, 193 blocks, and 753 digs while being the primary passer.

[player_tooltip player_id='123459' first='Mia' last='Berg'] – Middle – Eureka

Going to the University of Nebraska-Kearney will likely see playing time in the middle or as an opposite. Another Wildcat in the mix is the 6'0" middle Berg, who can hit anywhere along the net. She doubled her kill output in her final year with 326 kills and added 58 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='221712' first='Elise' last='Frost'] – Middle – Parkway West

A high motor middle that gave Parkway West a quick blocking middle that could close to the pins and slam it out of the middle. I enjoyed watching her in districts as it is like she doesn't ever stop working hard. She ends her career with 601 kills and 210 blocks and will be a next-level middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='171209' first='Alli' last='Bishop'] – Opposite – Westminster Christian

The lefty opposite for the Wildcats leaves a legacy on the program helping Westminster to back-to-back Class 4 state titles. She's a long 6'0 opposite that puts up a huge block and rips a deadly line shot.

[player_tooltip player_id='168923' first='Emma' last='Breier'] – Outside – Jefferson

What a class Jefferson had this season; of course, they won it all. Breier was unstoppable in the final four, where she would thump 38 kills and hit .311. The Gorillas got a good one in Breier.

[player_tooltip player_id='123472' first='Caitlyn' last='Little'] – Outside – Lafayette

Little is one of those wow hitters you see and love to watch hit. She is a full-force power hitter and helped guide the Lancers to a state championship in her final year. She leaves with a career kill of 778 and will be a monster hitter at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='168920' first='Jelena' last='Gray'] – Outside – Farmington

Jefferson college snuck in and got one of the best outsides in Farmington's history. The six rotation outside finished with 1183 kills and 990 digs while starring for the Knights.

[player_tooltip player_id='221711' first='Zoey' last='Mitchell'] – Setter – Timberland

Going to play Beach at USC is impressive, which I just found out. Mitchell has been a four-year starter for Timberland and is a great setter leaving with 1664 career assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='102554' first='Juliette' last='Myrick'] – Setter – Eureka

The southpaw heads to Army next year and leaves Eureka with her footprint on the program. A big strong setter/opposite finished her time at Eureka with 1211 assists, 618 digs, and 461 kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='102557' first='Ava' last='Roth'] – Libero – Jefferson

The Arkansas commit was part of the dominant senior class at Jefferson and will be a sensational libero for the Razorbacks. She ends her career as a six rotation outside for the Class 2 state champions with 889 kills and 1477 digs.
