Mackenzie Rogers Mackenzie Rogers 6'0" | S Pioneer | 2024 State IN , 6-0 S, Pioneer, Empowered
It’s not often you get to say ‘Pioneer’ and ‘high-level club ball’ in the same sentence. That’s exactly what you get from Miss Rogers, a long and lean setter with high, accurate hands. She defends her position well, can be offensive if needed, and runs a solid offense. You can find her on their 17/18 Elite Black roster.
Lauren Paska Lauren Paska 5'10" | OH Lapel | 2024 State IN , 5-10 OH, Lapel, Munciana
I guess the same applies to Lapel, a basketball school with a volleyball problem. Lauren is a six-rotation kid with the ability to hit a heavy ball to all angles at all times. In her first season as the primary attacker for Lapel, she had four kills per set to go with three digs and an ace per set. She also seemed to catch the eyes of the folks at the big club in Muncie; last I saw her was at their satellite club, Munciana Indy . Lauren now plays for the Aztecs, the 17-2 team in Yorktown.
Abbie Cresse Abbie Cresse 6'3" | MB Blackhawk Christian | 2024 State IN , 6-3 MB, Blackhawk Christian, Empowered
Allie Boyer Allie Boyer 6'2" | OH Blackhawk Christian | 2024 State IN , 6-2 OH, Blackhawk Christian, Empowered
There’s a lot to say for these two. First, both earned First Team All-State honors. Second, they both were the physical and emotional leaders for the Braves in their state championship winning run. These two were first or second (or both) in six different statistical categories for Blackhawk this past fall, and they BOTH get to come back for another run at a repeat title. Abbie also has high-level DNA—her older sister plays middle for Louisville. For the particulars, Abbie is the space-taking, physical, dominating middle that should make a difference somewhere sooner rather than later, while Allie has all the tools, size and physicality to be a six-rotation outside for someone starting in the fall of 2024. You can find Abbie on Empowered’s 17 Elite Black squad, while Allie should receive a ton of attention while playing well for the 17/18 Elite Black team.
