Central Zones Invitational: Top Setters and Middles

Able to get her feet to the ball even on a bad pass and put up a hittable ball. She is focused and has quick reaction moving from pin to pin and just never seems to be late to the block. With an impressive vertical, she plays high above the net allowing her to take some massive swings and be a go-to-player for her team.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Kathryn Helmes</strong> - <em>Middle/[program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='[program_tooltip program_id='431827' first='Elevation' last='']' last=''] 16 Goller</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong at the net, getting up and pressing over, to really frustrate the other team. She has great timing and runs a variety of routes making her an asset on offense. A fast lateral player, making it seem effortless getting to the pins to set up a big block.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='227632' first='Rylie' last='Simons']</strong> - <em>Setter /AVC Clevland 16 Red</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A clear leader for AVC, she is calm and doesn't seem to get rattled even on the long rallies. She is a strong server and can hold her own on defense as well, covering and playing those hard driven line shots as good as any DS. She runs a smooth offense and is smart about her ball placement, knowing who to set and when.
