Some of the athletes listed may have played multiple positions on the court, but we have chosen them for the positions that we think they excelled at the most. We watched tons of matches this year and covered a lot of athletes in order to determine who was the best of the best. All of the wonderful players made it very difficult to decide both nominees and who eventually won due to their performances. Please help us congratulate these winners of our prestigious All-State Awards.
1st Team All State Selection: Setter
Kassidy O’Brien Kassidy O’Brien 5'10" | S Cinco Ranch | 2025 State #19 Nation TX [2025] 6-0 Setter (HS: Cinco Ranch/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kassidy is currently ranked as the 12th best overall prospect and the 3rd best setter in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Cinco Ranch high school in the Katy area and also club for Houston Skyline. We profiled her recently when she was nominated and here is what was stated, “She stepped up in a big way for Cinco Ranch this season and almost tripled her production in assists as she amassed 1,122 as a sophomore. But that was not all she did on the court as she also tallied 284 digs, 38 total blocks, and added 123 kills to help her squad go 29-13 overall and 13-3 in district. There is no doubt that Cinco has their next big star in Miss O’Brien as she has shown a great propensity to be a fantastic leader of women. Usually taller setters are not able to move around the court well, but Kassie tracks down balls with ease due to fast amazing footwork. I love how she uses her long arms to contact the ball and push it at a very nice tempo to all of her hitters.” She is one of the best setters in the entire nation and has proven herself on the court. The fact that she showed just how valuable she is on the varsity level for an entire season shows us that she deserves to win this award. We are very proud to announce that Miss O’Brien has earned 1st Team All-State for our publication.
1st Team All State Selection: Setter
Emma Rosier Emma Rosier 5'6" | S Boyd | 2025 TX [2025] 5-7 Setter (HS: Boyd/Club: Muscle/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Emma is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays at Boyd High School and played club for Texas Pistols last year. This year she will suit up for Muscle volleyball club. We profiled her a few months back when we wrote about her nomination and here is what we stated, “In her first season on varsity at Boyd, she amassed 1,099 assists, 72 aces, 360 digs, and added 169 kills. She did a little bit of everything for their program. She was one of the main reasons why they were able to go 35-10 overall and13-1 in district. Miss Rosier has mastered the art of the setter dump and she does not just resort to putting the ball in the middle of the court. I love how she jumps and pushes the ball with one hand to a deep corner. It is a dump that no one expects and it scores very well for her. Also, don’t sleep on her size as she is not afraid to jump and block any hitter when in the front row. She utilizes impeccable timing to slow down attackers at the net.” Her production this season proves that she is one of the best setters in her grad class. Her overall all around game is the main reason why we chose her to win the 1st Team All-State award. Please help us congratulate her on the honor.
