Club Team Close-Up: Iowa Rockets 18R

Since then, the season tipped off.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I'll make it out to some events through the season and will be at regionals, but wanted to continue highlighting some teams in conjunction with in-person evaluations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's take a look at [program_tooltip program_id='431948' first='Iowa' last='Rockets'] 18R today:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='135807' first='Sophia' last='Armstrong'], 23, MB, West Burlington - </strong>The Winona State recruit led the Falcons in kills (429) and blocks (80.0) as a senior in '22. She added 175 digs and 33 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='79672' first='Allie' last='Barlow'], '23, S/RS, Cedar Rapids Jefferson - </strong>Barlow is heading to Northern Michigan following a final prep season that saw her rack up 254 assists, 306 kills, 227 digs, 14.0 blocks and 52 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='168156' first='Meg' last='Berkland'], '24, L, Clear Creek Amana - </strong>The lone junior on this squad, Berkland helped the Clippers reach the state championship match with 540 digs and 44 aces to go with 78 assists and 13 kills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='108426' first='Gabby' last='Deery'], '23, MB/OH, Burlington Notre Dame - </strong>The Iowa recruit pounded 538 kills and blocked 64.0 balls as a senior. She added 280 digs and 48 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Paeton Hyde, '23, MB/OH, Galena (IL) High - </strong>Hyde produced 184 kills, 66.0 blocks, 93 digs and 38 aces as a senior for the Pirates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Caitlin Jensen, '23, MB/OH, North Cedar - </strong>Jensen is off to the University of Dubuque after a final high school season that saw her record 407 kills, 291 digs, 62.0 blocks and 51 aces. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='108449' first='Jessie' last='Julius'], '23, OH, Williamsburg - </strong>The Truman State commitment completed her senior campaign with 245 kills, 310 digs, 53 aces, 13.0 blocks and 25 assists. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='79689' first='Shelby' last='Kimm'], '23, OH/MB, Iowa City Liberty - </strong>Kimm helped the Lightning win the first state championship in school history, contributing 344 kills, 448 digs, 28.0 blocks and 42 aces to the cause. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='79697' first='Monica' last='Morales'], '23, L, West Liberty - </strong>Morales wrapped up her Comet career with 650 digs as a senior for a team that reached the state tournament.
