They are currently undefeated in the 16U region (not including teams in the Open division) and are coming into the next Power League at #1. The group is a blend of stellar athletes from in and around the Salem, OR area. Bruce Myers, the current head coach at Central High School, is the head coach of the team. Myers started coaching in 1982, so it is safe to say he knows what he is doing! Assisting him is Puna Latu, current Corban University beach player, and Liv Denning, Chemeketa Community College alum.
Nadiah Luna
Nadiah Luna
Luna has transitioned to a new role this club season, sporting the libero jersey for the CCE 16-1 team. Previously a six-rotation outside hitter, she has honed in on her backrow abilities over the past year. She has become an anchor for this teams back row, showcasing steady ball control. She brings a tough jump serve to the service line that garners lots of disruptions and aces.
Elizabeth Irvin
Elizabeth Irvin
Irvin is a powerful attacker. She is an offensive weapon for the CCE 16-1 team as one of their six-rotation outside hitters. She is able to obliterate the ball from either pin, or in the backrow. She has a fast arm and when she connects with the ball it is lethal. She attacks a variety of angles but has a sweet spot for the cross-court swing.
Rylee McMillan
Rylee McMillan
McMillan, one of two freshmen on the team, has been tasked with a large load this season. An athletic setter she can confidently execute a 5-1 system for the CCE 16-1 team, , and consistently does. She makes smart setting decisions and establishes her middles early on. She brings a tough jump serve to the service line that garners lots of distrutptions and aces.
Addison Dixon
Addison Dixon
Dixon, one of two freshmen on the team, has no problem stepping up and competing with the 2025s. She is shouldering a load this club season both offensively and defensively as a six-rotation outside hitter. She is a technical attacker with lots of room for growth, oozing with potential. She is smart with her attacking placement, knowing when to rip and when to tip.
Brooklyn Butler
Brooklyn Butler
Butler is a physical middle blocker. She does a good job being available to her setter in transition to run the quick. Dynamic and versatile, she can confidently step in and swing at any position across the front row. Butler has lots of potential and is definitely an athlete to keep your eyes on from the class of 2025.
