Elevation
Probably the most fluid and impactful pin arm on this team, Dabbelt provides support for the power and strength they get from their all-everything middle, which has helped increase their competitiveness and success so far this early season. She has made significant gains to the arsenal she brings with her arm and as such her stock is rising. She helped lead her team to a 3rd place finish at the recent Central Zone event, which helped tip in their favor a Power Pool opportunity as a last-four selection for this weekend’s Triple Crown. It will be a good idea to watch her skills be tested versus some of the best teams and prospects in the country to measure her effectiveness and define the appropriate next-level value.

One of the best in the Cincy area that maximizes her physical tools, Brus is worth a good look. She can be explosive in her approach work with a lot of heat upon contact. She can also contribute in so many ways though beyond just being a reliable offensive threat at both pins. She has good range defensively as her 5’10 length helps her cover a lot of court in the back row. She can also step into the serve receive rotation with confidence and deliver opportunities for tempo and balance in their offensive decisions.

I think Henry has some of the best DS/L skills in the greater Cincy area, even among her own team given the depth they have for back row passing and defensive responsibilities. She has great preparation and reacts to the ball with good first-step intention and efficiency. Henry has good quickness and a full range of tools to defend well in all directions. She and her TSE teammates were one of the last-four selected to Power Pool play so take a look as they open up against some of the best teams in the country in 17U.

Thomas has a been a staple for Mintonette’s top age-group teams as she has progressed through her club career. It is evident why when you watch her play simply because of her work ethic and effort from pin-to-pin. She has good quickness to defend well while on the offensive side she does good work early in the transition game to be able to turn and develop aggressive pursuit of the ball to swing. She looks most dynamic and effective off of one foot behind the setter. Mintonette starts the Saturday round as the top seed in the R1N pool
Alexa Strandberg

At 6’3, Strandberg is an imposing factor at the pins for AVC’s offense. She is accustomed to some high volume work as part of her high school campaign but doesn’t need to carry the same load with a team that has a variety of point scoring options. With that, she can get ahold of the ball well with good power and placement while also showing good ability to transition to run faster tempos, which increases her versatility and the difficulty to track her defensively.
