Tour of Texas Stop 2 is just around the corner, and most teams had the chance to show up and show out a few weeks ago. Who has emerged as a top performer from that group? The 2024 age group has a lot of talent, and we have brought you a glimpse of some of the best below.

[player_tooltip player_id='142207' first='Gabriella' last='Reeves'] - Alamo 17 Premier

[player_tooltip player_id='142207' first='Gabriella' last='Reeves'] and Alamo 17 Premier have had a stellar start to 2023. Gabriella has set herself up as a top prospect athletically because of her setting capabilities, decision-making, and high setter IQ. Gabriella truly runs the floor as the leader and creates options for her hitters to make sure they are successful. She is a product of Alamo volleyball, who produces gritty defenders and smart offensive players, and that's exactly what Gabriella is.

[player_tooltip player_id='519527' first='Mykayla' last='McMillian'] - Houston Skyline 17 Royal

A new name to me [player_tooltip player_id='519527' first='Mykayla' last='McMillian'] is libero for Houston Skyline 17 Royal this season. She is a fully capable defender no doubt, but Mykayla has really impressed me in other areas. I really like her setting hands. She makes beautiful out-of-system sets and helps keep her team in rhythm. She also is an excellent coverage defender who can keep the toughest balls off the floor. I really like her style of play, and she will definitely make my watchlist from now on.

[player_tooltip player_id='197093' first='Peyton' last='Spahn'] - Houston Stellar 17 Elite

Houston Stellar's elite right side [player_tooltip player_id='197093' first='Peyton' last='Spahn'] has been an elite-level blocker for a while. This year she has really taken her offense up a notch and has been putting the ball away, swinging heavier and harder than ever before. She has a very good swing down the line, that is hard to defend, and she can execute it in system or out. She is a true opposite hitter who knows her position well and is improving with every touch on the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='192043' first='Kiana' last='Souza'] - IMPACT -171

Libero/DS [player_tooltip player_id='192043' first='Kiana' last='Souza'] had a big performance for IMPACT 171 last weekend, where they took 2nd at the ATX Showcase. Her stellar defense was a major factor in those wins, and [player_tooltip player_id='192043' first='Kiana' last='Souza'] proved to be a catalyst for her team. She has a great collapse move on defense that really saved her team dozens of times throughout the tournament. I really like her scrappy defensive attitude, and consistent serve receive.

[player_tooltip player_id='177528' first='Grace' last='Sweeney'] - [program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']s 17N Green

Midlothian Heritage High School star [player_tooltip player_id='177528' first='Grace' last='Sweeney'] is a serious competitor with a serious swing. The outside hitter stands at 5'10 but she plays like 6'2. Her contact point and reach are so high, and she is smart with the ball. She looks for the slightest split or opening and can bounce the ball. Her wrist snap and arm swing are very fast that she beats most defenders. If you haven't watched a highlight video, I encourage you to check it out.

[player_tooltip player_id='124109' first='Dominique' last='Phills'] - HJV 17 Elite

Pin hitter [player_tooltip player_id='124109' first='Dominique' last='Phills'] is starting to emerge from the pack of Houston area pin hitters as someone with a lot of potential. The 6'0 pin hitter has always had the height and size on her side, but she is coming around as a real offensive threat getting faster and stronger. She is on a loaded HJV team this season, with plenty of offensive options, so Dominique is getting pushed weekly just by practicing with her team. I would love to see her matchup with other elite 2024s at Tour of Texas.

[player_tooltip player_id='197072' first='Harper' last='Hall'] - TAV 17 Black

[player_tooltip player_id='197072' first='Harper' last='Hall'] had one of the best high school performances of her career at Highland Park. She had the hitters to be able to run a very fast offense with a lot a variation and options. Although she is only 5'8, she plays with so much confidence and is a great blocker. I haven't seen her play this club season yet, but I am sure we will see some of the same high-level, fast-paced, and intense volleyball from setter [player_tooltip player_id='197072' first='Harper' last='Hall'].
