This coming weekend, some of the top teams from Texas will make the trip West in order to take part in the traditional Red Rock Rave Qualifier in Las Vegas, which will be held from Saturday to Monday at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.
The event will serve as a qualifier for the Open, American, Liberty and USA divisions in the 16s, 17s and 18s age groups. As we get ready for it, let’s know some of the most talented players from the Lone Star State who will be in action in the Open divisions. We start with the setters.
Arianna Reyna

Reyna is a very talented and smart prospect who sets for Areté 16 Navy Telos, which will compete in the 16 Open division. She has great setting hands and is very aggressive and dynamic with her playing style. Reyna likes to push the tempo of her team’s offense and is capable of remaining incredibly accurate with quick sets even if the team is out of system or if the pass took her close to one of the pins. She’s very quick with her movement and has a variety of different sets for each position. Reyna is a very strong defender too.
Wei will also appear in the 16 Open division, setting for Madfrog 16N Green. She was a very good group of hitters to work with and makes the most of it with her intelligent ball distribution. Wei is always very precise with her locations and can be very deceiving to opposing hitters with her body movement when setting. She releases the ball very quickly and is capable of sending it to the pins in no time. Wei is also very agile when playing defense at the right back position.
