Continue ReadingThe first wave of the Red Rock Rave Junior National Qualifier started on March 4th and ended on March 6th. The age group represented was eleven through fifteen. This huge event was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas Nevada. There was sixteen division and a total of 1,043 teams who participated. Out of that total, 573 teams were from California. 13 Open had 20 teams, 8 from CA. 13 USA had 32 teams, 14 from CA. 13 Liberty had 48 teams, 26 from CA. 13 American had 114 teams, 77 from CA. Here are the results.
13 USA: Coached by Jeff Porter and Cari Klein, Sunshine 13 Westside took 2nd place with a record of 8-1. Taking home silver and securing a bid to Nationals are Ashton Santos, Elle Shepela, Kate Summers, Esme Althouse, Taylor Demorest, Emerson Harper, Saffi Hoegh-Guldberg, Avery Bennett, Shaylen Taylor, Abigail Lennon, Sydney Mehrdad, Julianna Galstian, and Presley Treibatch.
Taking home 3rd place and securing a bid to Nationals, coached by Cassandra Frapwell and Allison Dabu, is Seal Beach 13- Black. The bronze medal goes to Gianna Stickney, Vivienne Irwin, Sofia Manapat, Kylie Cruz, Isabela Mendez, Juliette Bredenberg, Giselle Millsap, Kate DeRuyter, Nicole Aduba, Logan Walker, Devyn Mertz, and Makayla Artolachipe.
13 American: Marin Juniors 13 Black coached by Craig Wong and Kristy Star ended with a record of 9-1. Taking home bronze are Smmer Maunder, Marlie Gamble, Isabella Hesson, Anne Bennett, Vivian Orum, Laila Turner, Eleanor Yasuda, Daniels Kong, Abigail Lardner, Danielle Christian, Avery Fisher, and Sierra Treewater.
13 Liberty: The only division that California teams took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. United 13s Susie coached by Suzanne Magana, Sierra Lim, and Megan Yoon took 1st place. The gold medal and bid to Nationals goes to Taylor McPherson, Cienna Enriquez, Rylee Hartwell, Kendall Mathison, Ashley Deemer, Evelyn Le, Saba Tanara, Shiloh Stupin, Madison Goodrich, and Tessa Beckman.
SynergyForce 13 Hannah coached by Hannah Miller and Leslie Okamoto took 2nd place with a record of 9-1. The silver medal and bid to Nationals goes to Kapri Orteza, Josette “Joie” Dickerson, Ella Dossey, Ava De La Torre, Guo Chang, Hannah McGinnis, Grace McKeown, Alexis Mitchell, Claire Goulding, Kelsey Granner, Sofie Urosevic and Kaleigh Morasci.
Finishing this division in 3rd place with a record of 9-1 is Red Rock 13 Jane RWC, coached by Jane Seslar and Madison Lenn. The bronze medal goes to Jaslynn Lemoge, Devan Okubo, Olivia Roper, Isabella Saavedra, Elizabeth Tanriverdi, Abby Cardenas, Ellyssa Won, Zoe Mummah-Su, Kira Tully, and Leilah Abrams Leilah Abrams CA .
