One of the articles we like to write the most when new rankings come out is to sing the praises of the kids making the biggest gains in their stock. Put in the work, make the most of your opportunities, win a bunch, and you get yourself in front of the right eyeballs at the right time. Here are six kids who did just that---with three of them selling high on their stock.

[player_tooltip player_id='110377' first='Kamryn' last='Utley'], 5-8 S, Cathedral, Rev (Lehigh commit)

A couple of years ago, Kamryn was a little bit of a DS and a little bit of a setter at a public school not far from Cathedral. Full disclosure---I didn't know how to identify her back then, positionally or otherwise. Fast-forward to this club season, and it's obvious she's fully capable of running a 5-1 on her own, is getting great training at Rev and will probably do the same at Cathedral for her senior season. What a difference a life change makes.

[player_tooltip player_id='110491' first='Leah' last='Richmond'], 5-8 S, Lawrence North, Academy (Western Michigan commit)

I've been high on this kid for years. Her athleticism, no-nonsense attitude and constant work ethic got her here. Relentless, determined and strong, Leah is the workhorse setter teams need if the passing isn't the greatest. Not only will she never complain about where the ball is passed, she'll find a way to make the ball hittable for all of her hitters.

[player_tooltip player_id='110514' first='Whitney' last='Scherrer'], 6-1 S, North Central, Munciana

Speaking of setters north of I-70, Whitney is a long, lean and athletic setter that can get to balls the previously mentioned setters in this piece just can't get to. She plays defense at a high level, can attack on cue, and runs a 5-1 with the best of them in this (or any) class. She had a great showing this past weekend in Louisville, and it's only a matter of time before someone needs a tall, smart and rangy setter for their class of '24.

[player_tooltip player_id='142821' first='Lilly' last='Merk'], 6-0 MB, Terre Haute South, Circle City (Valparaiso commit)

Strong both in front of and behind the setter, Miss Merk was in relative obscurity in the extreme western portion of the state just two years ago. Currently a starting middle for Circle's 18-1, she's turned her consistent and constant work ethic into gold by committing to the gold of Valpo. Springy and fast, Lilly is just as strong on defense as she is on offense.

[player_tooltip player_id='286675' first='Jaycee' last='Strawsma'], 5-11 MB, Benton Central, NCISVBC

More of a big, strong-armed pin than a middle at the next level, she can do both, depending on what you need. I knew nothing of this kid two years ago, and now she's a regular on the high-level club circuit. Putting in work at both the Windy City 18s and the OVR qualifier this club season, she's got exposure for days. With her abilities to play ANY front row position, and attack at any angle, Jaycee should be turning the heads of college coaches in no time.

[player_tooltip player_id='330446' first='Addi' last='Fullop'], 5-6 S, North Posey, Metro

From the Evansville area, Addi is safely tucked away at a smaller-than-average high school while playing open-level ball during club season. She's a fast, accurate and smart setter that can get to a ton of out-of-system passes and make them better. I don't know much about the Evansville area in general, but with multiple coaches and parents in that area seeking me out about her, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to watch her grow. Watch her play, and you'll understand.
