I saw Rubio at the Show Me Qualifier in Kansas City and I really like her movement to the ball. She is smooth and does a great job with the tight passes. Rubio moves the ball around and can constistently jump set to pull the blockers attention.
Connell knows just who to set and when. I saw her in Kansas City and she was setting from the front row and finding a great rhythm with Greta Tompkins Greta Tompkins 6’1″ | MB Prior Lake | 2025 State MN and Addison Ertz Addison Ertz 6’1″ | RS Northfield | 2025 State MN . Defensively she reads the other side of the net and knows where opponents are going with the ball before they do.
Bigalke caught my eye running a strong slide route at the Show Me Qualifier. She knows how to put the pressure on the defense and takes care of anything near the net. If the set is tight she knows how to work off the edges of the block and if the block is late she sees it and speeds up her armswing for a booming kill.
Highlights
Stelzig takes a big aggressive approach and can really wind up before taking a swing.
Molitor creates really nice angles in serve receive and she doesn’t hesitate to go into the chairs to chase down a shanked ball.
Hoffman does a great job running a 5-1. She puts up a nice high outside ball for her attackers to terminate.
Miller knows how to use multiple tools to attack including a really nice cut shot. She also knows how and when to take a big aggressive swing off the block.
Ernster is a six rotation outside that does a nice job getting her hips under the ball on defense. She takes a nice aggressive approach and swings hard off the opposing block. Ernster is solid in serve receive and can recycle a play if she’s in a jam.
Augedahl is one that shown great improvement over the club season. She’s always had a nose for the ball when it comes to blocking with her naturally long reach and ability to move across the net quickly. Augedahl is also really good and effortlessly push tipping the ball to the deep 1 corner out of the middle. And don’t bother serving short in her direction because she does a great job taking it with her hands and quickly transitioning for an approach. Augedahl has also streamlined her slide approach. She has quick reactions along the net making her a valuable asset in the middle. When she gets cooking she gets her arm up early and swings a hard angle.
Lind can take a terminal swing from the pins out of serve receive. She uses her middle training to slice the ball down the net. Lind can run a smooth slide route but she’s very good at finding the edges of the block and working off of them.
Keefer does a nice job waiting to start her approach and accelerates to time her attack. She’s got a really fast armswing from either pin. She is explosive in her jump and reaches to get on top of the ball and terminate. As a sophomore she is already touching over 10 ft.
Schloe is an attacker that does a great job getting her arm up and back ready to swing well an advance. She times her approaches and when the ball comes out of the setters hand she pulls the trigger and contacts on top of the ball for a quick termination. Schloe is effective in front or behind her setter and she does a great job closing the block.
Highlights
Cregan has a lot of length and she knows how to find the open court. She works around the block and uses it when necessary. Cregan can find the deep line for the 1 corner and if the block shifts to take away line she takes advantage and will go power alley.
Yost releases quickly in defense and creates a good platform angle. She does a nice job covering her attackers and can defend the line attack. Yost does a good job taking the second contact and gives the pins a high inside ball to terminate.
