We have been watching the 2025 class very closely throughout the entire high school and new club season. A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone’s recruiting profiles. We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects. The following players showed us all that they deserved to be added to the rankings due to their individual performances.
Caelyn Dumas Caelyn Dumas 5'10" | S Tompkins | 2025 State TX [2025] 5-10 Setter (HS: Paetow/Club: Absolute Volleyball Academy/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please officially welcome Caelyn to the State Rankings List. Miss Dumas is currently ranked as the 91st best overall prospect according to the 2025 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Paetow High School and also club for the Absolute Volleyball Academy of Texas program. Caelyn is a super strong setter who has the power to move the ball anywhere she wants to no matter the distance. She has a strong push to the pins from both in system and out of system that is delivered with pinpoint accuracy. The ball seems to float right out of her hands so smoothly and softly but arrives to her hitters very quickly. Her power can also be seen in her serve, which is super strong and can move in the air like a knuckleball. The ball dances in the air and it makes it very difficult for any passer to handle well. Caelyn does a great job of spreading the ball around to all of her hitters and has a great connection with her middles. Once she establishes that middle connection early in the game, she moves it to her pins. When I watch her play, I can see how she makes great decisions during tight moments. Any college coach who wants a warrior needs to give Miss Dumas a look. Please help us congratulate her on being listed as a top player in the state of Texas.
Giana Brown Giana Brown 6'1" | MB Brennan | 2025 State TX [2025] 6-1 Middle (HS: Brennan/Club: Impact/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Brown officially to the State Rankings. Giana is currently ranked as the 93rd best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Brennan High School and also for the Impact volleyball club out of the San Antonio area. I was introduced to Miss Brown last summer at USA Junior Nationals when I walked by a court and saw her amazing vertical. I stopped, sat down, and became an instant fan. She had been on our watch list ever since. We were lucky enough to have her in our Top 250 Expo showcase this past December and saw how much she had improved. Her squad has been competing extremely hard this year and she has helped them qualify for Junior Nationals again. Giana is extremely gifted in her height and strong frame. She uses her lower body very well in order to gain a lot of momentum in her vertical. I also love how hard she presses over the net while blocking. I would classify her as a shut down blocker at this level and it will translate very well to the next level. She has immense power in her attack and she can run every route you want a middle to run. Please help us congratulate Miss Brown on earning a spot in our prestigious State Rankings List.
Piper Mickenheim Piper Mickenheim 5'5" | DS/L Argyle | 2025 State TX [2025] 5-3 Libero (HS: Argyle/Club: Excel/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Miss Mickenheim officially to the State Rankings. Piper is currently ranked as the 106th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Argyle High School and also for the Excel volleyball club. All of our scouts love what we see when we watch her battle in the back row. She is the type of libero that will never give up on a play. I have watched her sprawl all over the court to make sure that the ball never hits the floor. Emergency techniques are something that truly stand out when you see her in the libero position. Not a lot of defenders have her ability to use super fast reaction time. It is almost as if she sees the play happen in slow motion because her change of direction is phenomenally fast. She is able to use both arms when lunging out to dig and has amazing body control. For only being listed at five foot three, she has a range like she is six feet tall. There are balls that look like they have no way of being touched and then Piper comes out of nowhere and gets them up. I love how she is always moving her feet while the ball is on the opponent’s side as this helps her reaction speed when it is time for her to move. We will be watching her very closely as she continues to progress in the position. Please help us congratulate her on earning a spot in our State Rankings List.
