Mickenheim is the starting libero for the Excel 18 national Red team that will play in the 18 Open division this weekend. Very determined and consistent, she runs their backcourt smoothly and transmits a lot of confidence to her teammates. Mickenheim is super technical and quick, but one of the things that stands out the most in her game is how hard she works to keep the ball off the floor. The libero is very solid with her passing and has incredible ball control on defense, even when she has to improvise or react quickly to an unpredicted situation.

Third-placed Excel 17 National Red relied a lot on libero Mickenheim to get five wins in their six matches in Houston. With her in control on the backcourt, things ran smoothly for the team during the day as the libero not only got the job done but also positively impacted her teammates with nice energy and encouraging words during matches. Mickenheim’s great technique and ball control were on display all day as she passed with tremendous precision and also got several touches on defense.

Mickenheim was also of the key pieces of the Excel 17 National Red team that dropped just one of their six matches over the weekend to secure a third-place finish. The libero was very important to her team and took full control of the backcourt, playing with great efficiency and confidence. Mickenheim was one of the best passers on the court all day, using her superior ball control to efficiently handle every serve that went her way. She was also very active on defense and played with a nice energy that positively impacted her teammates.

Mickenheim will be in action in the 16 Open division with her team Excel National 16 Red. Her excellent ball control makes of her an outstanding defensive player and a rock on the backcourt for her team. She had an excellent sophomore high school season with Argyle and made it to our Prep Dig Class of 2025 All-State Team. Mickenheim is very quick on the backcourt and works hard to keep the ball in play for as long as she can. She’s very good at reacting and finding creative solutions to plays and is also very strong from the service line.
