Lone Star Classic Week 3 – Texas Setters to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After several weeks of getting on the road to compete for a spot at the 2023 USA Girls Junior National Championship, Texas teams will have homecourt advantage this weekend, when they will play in Dallas in the third week of the 2023 Lone Star Classic.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the biggest national qualifiers there is, the Lone Star Classic has been going on for two weeks already and the third and final weekend of competition will feature as many as 11 divisions from the 15s, 16s and 17s age groups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As expected, several teams from Texas will be on the court in Dallas this weekend and we'll use the days leading to the event to present some of the most exciting prospects from the Lone Star State that will be competing in the Open divisions. She's been doing a fantastic job running Houston Skyline 15 Royal's offense, combining her clean touch on the ball, excellent decision-making and endless resources. Thiebaud had a stellar freshman high school season with College Station and has only gotten better during club, testing herself against elite competition. She's great at keeping all of hitters involved and also moves very well to get to the ball. Besides very skilled on the ball, Bello is also a hard-worked and that shows when she's playing defense as she gets a lot of touches on the right back position. The Excel 16 National Red playmaker is always very fluid when moving around on the court and that allows her to run her offense with incredible consistency and efficiency. Moore is very accurate with her locations and uses her high volleyball IQ to make good decisions when she has the ball at her hands.
