At the Motor City Madness Showcase, a number of solid 2026 prospects were on hand.

The future of the state of Michigan volleyball looks great, as these players all showed a lot of drive and determination to go with their raw talent.

Here's our first part of our 2026 player evaluations from the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='385780' first='Isabella' last='Allen'], Henry Ford II/Legacy

[player_tooltip player_id='385780' first='Isabella' last='Allen']

Allen was one of the top defenders throughout the showcase. She covered a lot of the back row and used her quickness to make some very challenging digs. Her serve receive was very consistent and she also had one of the strongest serves in the showcase. Allen also was vocal and communicated well with her peers during drills.

[player_tooltip player_id='261135' first='Clare' last='Beazley'], MH Saline/HVVC

Beazley approaches 6-foot in height and she looked long at the net throughout the showcase. She can really get off the floor and get up to the ball at a high point of impact. Her swing wasn't always where she wanted it to be, but she made necessary adjustments throughout the showcase and consistently found a home for points.

Sidni Brinker, OH Almont/Legacy

Brinker was up against some sizable competition in this showcase, which led to some early struggles to work through blocks. However, Brinker showed a high court IQ to begin mixing up her shots, speeds and locations. The 5'8” outside had a solid defensive display to compliment her offense and show signs that she can be a complete player.

[player_tooltip player_id='226895' first='Jillian' last='Ferrill'], S Lake Fenton/High Performance

Ferrill was one of the top all-around players to be featured in the showcase. Though setter is her primary position, she also excelled as a hitter, defender and server. There isn't a role she doesn't look comfortable in. As a 6-foot prospect, Ferrill is very light on her feet and moves smoothly around the floor. Her athleticism comes very natural and that allows her to be a powerful hitter and fast-paced setter.

[player_tooltip player_id='261147' first='Emma' last='Flick'], DS/L Traverse City West/Northshore

[player_tooltip player_id='261147' first='Emma' last='Flick']

Flick was another libero that looked in complete control of what she was doing throughout the showcase. She never looked rattled and displayed the intelligence to not just make a good pass, but also make impact plays by reading her opponents. Just like her defensive game, her serve was also very consistent and a challenge for others to receive.

Emerson Forrest, S St. Anne/Michigan Elite

Forrest was a little raw with some of her technique, but there's no questioning that she has the athleticism to be a standout player. She had stretches where she looked like one of the top players in the showcase with her all-around ability to put down power shots and make sound defensive plays. If she can bottle that up for longer stretches, she can really take her game to another level.

Laila Frye, DS/L Milan/HVVC

Frye was a really scrappy defender. You could see her drive to be better every time she stepped into a drill. She was spry and quick to react to plays and was willing to put her body on the line to get to the ball. Sometimes she may have had a bit too happy of feet, as she was able to be in the right location and didn't quite look at ease. As she trusts in herself more, Frye should become a great back row leader.
