I like sitting back and watching for numerous reasons but the latest is the ability to share what I see in them at the end of the month. I started this after February and figured I’d give it another run. One thing to note, if I already shared my thoughts and videos in a previous month, I won’t do it again this season. I have the desire to spread the love! Here are a couple of handful of the March highlight video submissions.
A phrase I will use for Dawson is she is one of those players who has really figured it out this season. Each highlight I watch you can see she is getting better and better and busting out the seams with confidence right now. She is explosive off of two feet and bringing a lot of heat behind her balls.

When I coached college football we used a phrase, “the eye in the sky don’t lie” when breaking down film and grading players. The same can be said about Schmedding, literally. The highlight video I watched was high in the sky courtesy of BallerTv. What the film did show is she had some great shot selections from the pin from line shots to inside the 10 foot line on hard cuts.
When watching Chavez’s updated highlights last month her defense stood out in the back row. She has approved in this area and does a good job of getting to the ball. She has always been a good attacker from the right pin as a southpaw, but it’s her defense even in the blocking department that has been beneficial to her stock.

Triple Crown was good to Clayton. She was doing a little bit of everything. She was hitting over blocks, around blocks, down the line, tooling the block, behind the 10 foot line. You name it and in her highlight you can see she did it plus some. I left off she passes well and plays solid defense.

I’m going to repeat something I said earlier when talking about Bria Dawson Bria Dawson 6’0″ | MB Olathe North | 2025 State KS …you can just see when an athlete’s confidence level is on another level and I see that with Myers. She is much more aggressive in her attacks and with her power than I saw during the high school season. You can tell she’s stronger in her swings and jumping ability. Her stock is not just up…it’s up up.

Oh my…Hackney is on the level of good where I need to go look at the setters on the 15 Elite team. She is so smooth with her sets and has great size. Her defense wasn’t too shabby either.
Just so you know…I’m an equal opportunity highlight reviewer. The small club players get love too if I get tagged to the highlight Hafer is a pin for Show-Me Juniors. In the highlight I checked out I really like how she was able to adjust to tough sets and find a way to get a score. When you are a pin, your job is to score on good and difficult sets and she was able to make it happen.

I don’t know why but I love left-handed setters. It’s probably because they can sneak you on them second ball swings if you get caught sleeping. Rhoden has been very good for her Mavs 816 squad and poised throughout the month of March in some big matches.
