Three OVR 17U Teams that Could Earn a Bid Over Top Seeds

They earned the gold medal at the early-season Rock and Rumble JVA event followed by more titles in subsequent tournaments, including national qualifiers They currently hold a bid for the 17 USA division at nationals of which they earned at the Mideast qualifier. As the #3 overall seed, they have the tools and competitive success to challenge well this weekend. They have big firepower in the arms of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='169125' first='Katie' last='Sowko']</strong>, a critical piece to their offense with her versatility, production and efficiency, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='139301' first='Maria' last='Flynn']</strong>, who at 6'1 can create good pace with her torque and arm swing. <strong>Riley Rosneck</strong> is 6'0 and can contact with a high touch as middle <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='349123' first='Niyah' last='Lester'] </strong>is one of the most athletic and physical pieces with her elevation and natural power off her arm. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='349125' first='Samantha' last='Hartman']</strong> (committed to Edinboro) is the primary setter and gets her offense going with good variety in her distribution and an in-system tempo that is tough to slow down. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>TVC 17 Black</em></strong><br><strong>Taryn Dewese</strong>, a recent Vanderbilt commit, is the floor leader for this team that has a lot of potential with the ball going through her hands and making setting decisions combined with the various offensive options she has available. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='232959' first='Wrigley' last='Takats']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='169107' first='Erynn' last='Moloney']</strong> provide good offensive options in the middle as <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='239230' first='Olivia' last='Batch']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='239943' first='Adella' last='Rodriguez']</strong> (*pictured) are capable point scorers at the pins as they complement each other well with their power, finesse, and ability to hit with range. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='152116' first='Natalie' last='Kerchevall']</strong> is a lefty opposite that balances the floor well and completes the arsenal of offensive threats. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='239199' first='Jordyn' last='Pakulski']</strong> is the libero and anchors their ball control and defense effectively with balance and good first-step reaction to the ball. And they have pin hitters in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='232843' first='Mary' last='Flanagan']</strong> and outside <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='342330' first='Grace' last='Busold'] </strong>that can score well. Flanagan is a lefty and moves the ball around well while Busold has a physical and fast arm that benefits from her athleticism and ability to get good lift off the court. Setter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='199839' first='Olivia' last='Castelluccio']</strong> moves well around the floor as she has good quickness and if their ball control can get her opportunities to balance her distribution then this team could find success towards day three.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
