College camps are a great way for athletes to get on campus, interact with the staff, current players, and get a feel for what programs would be like at the next level. 2026 athletes are over a year away from officially starting the recruiting process, but here are some who would be ideal to get on campus. Some of them might be obvious, they’ve had monster club seasons as well as high school seasons. Others might be hidden gems in the waiting. Take a look at these 2026 athletes who need to get to campus.
Reese Naeve Reese Naeve 5'9" | OH Iowa City Regina Catholic | 2026 State IA – Iowa Rockets 15R
Outside/Libero
I was able to see Naeve at the Iowa Top 250 in December and again at the Windy City Qualifier where her Rockets team was a match away from playing for an open bid. Naeve has a really dynamic skill set where she can score points on the outside, but she might have a bright future as a libero at the next level. She is well composed, quiet platform, can handle a heavy volume of serve receive and defense. Her presence on the court is extremely positive. She has the positive intangibles all tilted in her favor where she will find a way to make a big impact for her side of the net.
Ellah Derrer Ellah Derrer 6'4" | MB Davenport Assumption | 2026 State IA – Iowa Select 15 Mizuno
Middle Blocker
Deerer definitely has a presence in the front row as a 6’3 middle blocker who is able to move from pin to pin. She was part of the Davenport Assumption state championship team this past fall to start her high school career and will be looking to add on some more hardware with her Iowa Select 15 Mizuno team. She has proven she can pack a punch with her swing and set a really strong block. Her game will really soar as she continues against high level competition. She can be dangerous once she becomes a lethal attacker off one foot.
Bailey Boeve – MVP United 16 Red (IA)
Middle Blocker/Outside
Boeve is another Iowa athlete from the Sioux City area, prepping for Hinton High School where she had some wild stats this past fall. She’s been playing out of the middle, but with her length and athleticism, she could play anywhere. She has a high contact point and the ability to attack out of the backrow. Her MVP United team went down to Show Me and won the 16 USA Division. She is one of those athletes where you can watch her and forget that she is playing up an age group with how she can naturally adjust to the speed of the game.
Elena Hoecke Elena Hoecke 6'3" | MB Centennial | 2026 State MN – MN Select 16-1
Middle Blocker
Hoecke is definitely tagged on University Athlete for plenty of college coaches and will have her pick of schools when it comes to camp season. She’s 6’3, touching ten feet, and is very mobile. I was able to see Hoecke play for her 16-1 team at the Northern Lights Qualifier and she is another one I forget that she is playing up an age group. She handles herself with great poise and maturity on the court. As she continues to develop with the speed of the game, she will dominate in every facet of the game. She has qualities that plenty of the top middles out of Minnesota have that have gone on to big time careers at the next level.
Abby Conklin Abby Conklin 6'3" | RS St. Michael-Albertville | 2026 State MN – MN Select 15-1
Middle Blocker
Conklin is much like Hoecke where she is fast, dynamic, and can touch high. Her MN Select 15-1 team is a really scrappy group where they are capable of knocking off any of the top teams at the 15s age group. I saw them beat Pohaku out of the Kansas City area where they have been a top 20 team all season. Conklin has developed a great connection with setter, Eva Swenson. These two will be a fun combination together for years to come where they are also a tough matchup when it comes to their block. They can get up and over the net with plenty of strength and physicality.
Molly Daugherty Molly Daugherty 5'10" | S Brookfield Central | 2026 State WI – VC United 151 Elite
Setter
Daugherty plays for VC United 151 Elite in Rockford,Illinois but preps for Brookfield Central out of the Milwaukee area. Her potential is scary good where she has shown she is one of the top setters in the Midwest. She has the length and mobility to get to the ball and keep her team in system on the scramble. Her opponents have to respect her in the front row because she can take it herself or remain neutral to set a variety of tempos to her attackers. This was a big year of growth for Daugherty and her progress will be one to watch over the summer into her sophomore season.
Cassidy Cage Cassidy Cage 6'3" | MB Marist | 2026 State IL – Michio 15 National
Middle Blocker
Cage is one of the more physically imposing middle blockers in the Class of 2026 with how she can shut down the opposing hitters. She has a high IQ where she can adjust and read what is going on across the net to anticipate where the next ball is going. A multisport athlete who is also a softball player, her athleticism is apparent where she has a fast arm swinging out of the middle where she can find a deep corner to score points. This Michio team has gotten better each time they stop on the court and snagged an open bid at the Windy City Qualifier. There are a lot of dynamic 2026 athletes on this team.
Sari Marks Sari Marks 6'0" | S Sun Prairie West | 2026 State WI – Sting United 15 Red
Outside Hitter/Setter
I saw Marks in January play for the first time at the Prep Dig Resolution and saw her again this past weekend at Battle at the Bay. Her upside is dangerous as she is an electric attacker as well as something who can set as well. The greatest strength is her ability to compete and come up with big plays when her squad needs it the most. She preps at Sun Prairie West and will be one to lead this new high school into the future. Her future is bright as well as plenty of others on her team.
Macy Kline – Hometown Heat
Libero
What a fun athlete to watch. Kline is extremely scrappy and a libero that needs to be known in the Class of 2026. She’s played a lot of volleyball in her short career so far and the game comes so naturally do her. Kline has a clean first contact, is solid in serve receive, and has the ability to read and anticipate that is very advanced for a 15U player. She preps at Holmen High School near La Crosse, WI and this is a program who is definitely on the rise.
Addie Oeth Addie Oeth 6'1" | S Edgewood | 2026 State WI – Sting United 15 Red
Right Side/Setter
Oeth is so smooth with how she takes the second contact. She is long and athletic, receives the ball high and neutral. I think she is big time and will continued training, she could be one of the top setters to come out of the Wisconsin Class of 2026. This core group at Sting United will be one to watch on the club level, but also at area high schools in the Madison area. Oeth goes to Edgewood High School who has a lot of pieces in place to make a run this fall.
