With over 300 teams registered for the Naptown Jamboree on the last weekend in April, I felt it important to get a jump start on the sheer number of athletes from Indiana that will be attending. This is part one of a seven part series. Today's edition puts the focus on three teams in the 16/17 Open division.

If you're looking for size, look no further than this squad. [player_tooltip player_id='206583' first='Brooklyn' last='Bell'] ('24, 6-1 MB/RS, Greenwood) can hit from anywhere and uses her length to defend at an above-average level. [player_tooltip player_id='171390' first='Sophia' last='Poehlein'] ('24, 6-1 OH/RS, Zionsville) is a six-rotation outside that is very springy and can jump touch to ten feet. [player_tooltip player_id='171391' first='Nora' last='Rains'] ('24, 6-2 MB/RS, North Central) has experience playing all attacking positions, and could easily do any of them at the next level.

[program_tooltip program_id='430155' first='Team' last='Pineapple'] 17 Green

Ball control and volleyball acuity dot this roster. [player_tooltip player_id='380080' first='Olivia' last='Devenney'] ('24, 5-5 RS, Warsaw) plays bigger than her frame indicates and is lethal with her left arm. Mackenzie Wombacher ('24, 5-11 MB/RS, Angola) is probably a middle moving forward, but larger schools might use her as a right side because of her defensive length. [player_tooltip player_id='380079' first='Emma' last='Grim'] ('24, 5-8 OH, Churubusco) has a ton of athleticism and natural ability, with room to grow.

Grand Park 171E Tornados

A mixture of volleyball smarts and solid ball control, this roster is incorrectly listed as a "regional team". As a division of The Academy, they play just as tough of a schedule as some national-level programs, and have the talent to boot. [player_tooltip player_id='172333' first='Claudia' last='Antcliff'] ('25, 5-3 DS/L, Zionsville) is a quick and fiery DS that can be a great three-rotation addition in the fall of '25 or possibly play with the special jersey on. [player_tooltip player_id='380077' first='Lilly' last='Tucker'] ('24, 5-7 DS/L, Westfield) has spent a ton of time as the libero, and can play all three back row positions. [player_tooltip player_id='192096' first='Aurora' last='Schmidt'] ('24, 5-9 OH/RS, Carmel) is probably best suited as a left side because of her size, but her raw athleticism lets her play (and put balls away from) anywhere.
