Bailey is a consistent leader for her team. She dictates the flow and pace of the game while maintaining great placement. Her connection with her middle hitters is unmatched, and her speed allows her to make solid plays – both on offense and defense. Bailey is a huge asset to her team and it was proven in their success at the Fiesta.

Savanna was the first libero to impress me this weekend. Her agility and speed aid in her confidence in reading the game. She has an aggressive float serve and is consistently in the correct spot on defense and in coverage. Overall, she is a great leader and great defender.

The fluidity of Emily’s game makes her a terrific setter. She makes the game look effortless – and changes the flow of the game often. Though I only experienced her running a 6-2, there is no doubt in my mind that Emily leads the team both on and off the court.
Mya is a true hustle player – an amazing quality to have as a setter. I was blown away by some of the saves she was able to make. She is communicative and a strong leader for Crossfire. Her court awareness allow her to change direction and pace of the game in a very beneficial way.

Gabriella is the type of libero that every team wants to have. She has great energy and solid court awareness. She moves with confidence on serve receive and defense and puts herself in the best position to make plays. Her teammates swing without fear when she is behind them, knowing Gabriella will be there to cover.
Melissa Schmit

Though Melissa is a setter, she is a fantastic defender, as well. Her feet are consistently to the ball and she strives to make the smart set. She is the ultimate team player and leader, and it shows through her communication and energy. Her fundamentals have made her into a stud setter.
Peyton Browning

Peyton holds down the fort in left back for her team. She is always ready to defend the ball and is steady in her energy, footwork, and overall performance. Her hitters know that she is there to make the play based on her constant communication, wherever the game may take her.
The Fiesta was stacked with talent at the 16s level — but these are the players that stood out to me and worked hard during every play to make a positive impact on their team. Keep an eye out for these players as they continue with their seasons!
