Addi Shippy Addi Shippy 5'10" | MB Carroll | 2026 State IN , 5-10, Carroll, Team Pineapple
With arms that make her look like she’s 6-2, Addi is already playing an open-level schedule and playing just as efficiently. She blocks well, attacks high, and looks like she’s still growing. I like her coordination as well—not often do you see a kid at this age with this much athletic acuity.
Maddie Herman Maddie Herman 6'0" | MB Zionsville | 2026 State IN , 5-11, Zionsville, Team Indiana
A blocking machine, Maddie is a read-blocking master. She always seems to have her hands in the right spot, and is always ready to hit in transition. I like her development as a defender—so many attackers in Indiana focus more on the attack than the block—which will transition nicely as she gets older.
Avery Lewis Avery Lewis 6'0" | MB Cathedral | 2026 State IN , 6-0, Cathedral, Boiler Juniors
The only athlete on this list that is playing up a year, you can find Miss Lewis on Boiler’s 16-1 squad. She uses her length and quick feet to transition faster than most kids in this position and looks to be a solid M2 option at a large university near you. Her sharp angles on the attack also make her very hard to defend.
Karen Duty, 6-1, Columbus North, Rev
Long and lean, Karen makes blocks look obsolete with her high attack. She also takes up a ton of space on the block; for someone as narrow as Karen, that’s hard to teach. She does well in front of AND behind the setter, and makes things easier for her teammates defending behind her. What more do you want from a middle?
Samantha Adams Samantha Adams 6'1" | MB Carmel | 2026 State IN , 6-1, Carmel, Academy
Found on Academy’s 15-1 team, Miss Adams is an M1 in the making. She does well on sets away from the setter, either in front of or behind. In the limited amount of time I’ve seen her play, she’s very hard to block—her combination of a high attack and the angle she hits make her hard to defend.
