Texas is second to none when it comes to our players earning the right to play at the next level. The offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the club and high school volleyball season. They also have been hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their college decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Skylar George Skylar George 6'1" | OH Stratford | 2023 State TX [2023] 6-1 Outside (HS: Stratford/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: University of Utah)
Skylar is currently ranked as the 72nd best overall prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Stratford High School and also plays club for Houston Skyline. Miss George can score with the best of them and has a right arm that is unreal while in system. But, what truly stands out to me the most is how much of a killer she is while the ball is out of system. While most players take some heat off of their swing when the set is less than optimal, Skylar has the uncanny knack to keep the ball over her right shoulder through footwork adjustment and still be able to unleash fury on her opponents. She is one of the best attackers at scoring out of system and this is what will keep her deadly at the next level next season. Her squad can count on her to be able to score from any location on the court at any time of the match. It is a wonderful weapon for any setter to have in their arsenal. Skylar is as solid as they come as a true six-rotation pin player. We are proud to announce that she has decided to play college volleyball at University of Utah. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
Claire Duley [2023] 6-1 Outside (HS: Chisholm Trail/Club: Club Texas/Verbal: Oklahoma Christian)
Claire is currently an unranked prospect in the 2023 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Chisholm Trail High School and club for Club Texas Volleyball. Miss Duley is a solid point scorer from the left side pin who has a very big arm. She attacks the ball at the highest point of her reach, which makes it very tough for any blocker to time her attack. Her length is something that stands out as she is taller than a lot of players at her position. As an attacker on the left side, she has an uncanny ability to turn in mid-air and throttle the ball straight down the line for a kill. The amount of power she possesses will translate very well to the next level. Her versatility will be welcomed by her college coach due to the fact that she is able to play all three front row positions at a high level. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Oklahoma Christian University. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Emily Keohen Emily Keohen 5'8" | S Richland Hills | 2023 State TX [2023] 5-6 Setter (HS: Richland/Club: Texas Image/Verbal: Cameron University)
Emily is currently ranked as the 91st best overall prospect in the 2023 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Richland High School and club for Texas Image. Miss Keohen is able to replicate her sets over and over due to some amazingly technical control over her form. She is like a surgeon with the way she keeps her hands steady on contact and through her release. Her bread and butter are her quick sets to the middle of the court. She fires them like bullets to her middles for a very fast first tempo. This will easily translate to the next level as the ball gets faster there. Emily truly understands spread offense principles as she uses three front row hitters and back row as well. This keeps the defense off-balance and she is one of the best at it. Her defense out of the right back zone is something that most coaches would love to have because it is elite level. We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Cameron University. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
