A Pittsburg commit, the Plano West HS pin hitter played lights out all week and was recognized as the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament held in Puerto Rico. Bayless started in all five matches played by the team in Puerto Rico, appearing in seven of the 15 sets of the American campaign. The pin hitter ended the tournament with 34 points scored and came up big in the playoffs, registering nine points in a single set against Costa Rica in the semifinals and another ten against Mexico in the final.
A Florida commit, Auguste was a factor at the net for the USWNT, using her extraordinary physical tools to dominate. She came off the bench in the opening match against the U.S. Virgin Islands and earned a starting spot for the remainder of the tournament after she scored five points in that duel. Auguste was on the court in ten of the 15 sets played by the American team and ended the event with 26 points. The middle blocker tallied six points in the semifinals against Costa Rica and five in the gold medal match against Mexico.
