2023 GJNC Wisconsin Preview: 15s Division Part 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The first round of USAV GJNC is almost over in Minneapolis. And in a few short days Chicago will be home to the remainder of the age groups. Teams from Wisconsin will be making the drive down to Chicago to compete against the best teams in the nation. Here are some more 15s teams headed to USAV Nationals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">15 American</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Madtown 151 National</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Madtown has had an incredibly challenging schedule this season, playing in numerous Open divisions. They competed in the JVA World Challenge, Mideast Qualifier, and Nike President's Day Classic, all in the Open division. They have battled against the toughest teams in the country and showed a lot of growth and improvement. This team is very talented and has huge potential. [player_tooltip player_id='376276' first='Morgan' last='Bentel'] is a talented libero who puts up great out of system balls and has solid form. Setter [player_tooltip player_id='261358' first='Masina' last='Reuter'] is an energizer on the court who spreads the offense well and sees the court strategically. She is quick and impactful. [player_tooltip player_id='376297' first='Kaia' last='Schroeder'] is an impact pin hitter. She is hungry for the ball and wants as many contacts as possible. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 15 Elite</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This Penguins team has the potential to have huge success at Nationals. They are very defensively strong, with [player_tooltip player_id='236329' first='Gracie' last='Fregien'] and [player_tooltip player_id='277439' first='Caroline' last='Abbott'] dominating the back row. [player_tooltip player_id='249645' first='Callie' last='Carr'] is an athlete on the rise - she can set and swing and is a dynamic athlete on the court. [player_tooltip player_id='277436' first='Leila' last='Arens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='284006' first='Madie' last='Swier'] are both very talented pins who can play all six rotations. This is a talented group with great chemistry who are fun to watch. [player_tooltip player_id='277435' first='Hannah' last='Padilla'] and [player_tooltip player_id='277438' first='Tessa' last='Grogan'] set and run the offense well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Sting United 15 Red</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have really loved watching this Sting United team thrive this season. They won the Windy City Qualifier in the American division and placed very well at Mideast Qualifier as well. They are incredibly talented and led by some of the top athletes in this class, including setters [player_tooltip player_id='249623' first='Addie' last='Oeth'] and [player_tooltip player_id='247272' first='Sari' last='Marks']. [player_tooltip player_id='388484' first='Alyssa' last='Conrad'] and [player_tooltip player_id='388485' first='Maren' last='Schmotzer'] are both powerhouse pins. Alyssa is very well-rounded and has a lethal back-row swing as well. [player_tooltip player_id='388469' first='Kendall' last='Scadden'] is a high-level libero who is talented on serve receive and defense. She is all over the court and picks up nearly everything that comes her way. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">15 Freedom</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 15 Black</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This is a gritty team that has shown great improvement this season. They have played challenging divisions all season and have battled hard throughout the season. [player_tooltip player_id='284081' first='Sophia' last='Hultman'] is a talented 6-rotation pin hitter who is very impactful. Sophia is very well-rounded and a key piece of this team's offense. Fellow pin hitter Isabella Daul also can play six rotations. Ruby Freiss is a clean setter who is quick and scrappy. She moves the ball around well. Meredith Thomas is a setter and right side who is consistent and impactful in all six rotations. This Penguins team has a lot of talent and will be fun to watch at nationals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
