Through the magic of live streaming, we’ve got our eyes peeled on the action taking place at AAU Nationals. We recently detailed all the Nebraska teams competing at the event, and now we’ve seen some stars emerge on the big stage. This is where we start to highlight those standouts.
Of course, we’ll have more on deck once the event wraps up. Stay tuned!
VCNebraska 15 Elite is one of several Nebraska teams still in the Gold hunt heading into Tuesday, and players like Larson have helped make it happen. We’ve seen Larson versatility on full display in Orlando, as she has donned the libero jersey and done spectacular work as a backcourt defender. Multi-position standouts keep emerging from Nebraska’s Class of 2026.
Eckman has firmly established herself as a standout setter for 15 Elite. We got to see some of her savvy distribution during the qualifier season, and that has continued right into the postseason. From setting to floor defense, Eckman has been a positive contributor in almost every area.
Highlights
Like Larson, North is a setter-DS hybrid player who simply has a feel for bettering the ball. Her setting has been particularly impactful at AAU Nationals for Nebraska Elite 15 Phoenix. We’ll see North’s talent flourish as 15 Phoenix continues to battle in 15 Open’s top group.
Bassett is one of several pin hitters who has made their presence felt with 15 Phoenix. This Omaha Burke prep athlete does most of her damage on the left pin and can also contribute in serve receive. Those skills will be crucial in AAU’s waning moments.
Beethe is quickly separating herself as the focal point of Nebraska Juniors 15 Black’s offense. It’s no surprise that her team remains in the Gold hunt after two days of action. Length and physicality have been major advantages to help Beethe terminate in Orlando—even against some of the division’s toughest defenses.
Need more multi-position stars? We’ve got you covered. We know that Gleason can be a big-time scorer in the frontcourt whenever she gets the chance, but she’s also brought her defensive prowess into the Orlando spotlight. Reps at libero have elevated Gleason’s stock as an all-around contributor for Nebraska Juniors.

Powell figures to be one of many future additions to our 2026 watch list from Nebraska Juniors 15 Red. Her command of the setter spot kept 15 Red in the Gold hunt through two days of competition. This is a big step forward for Powell and her team on one of the biggest stages of the year.
We’ve had a lot of discussions on River City Jrs 15 Navy this season, and Miller has popped up in those breakdowns before. She brings some impressive range and elevation to the outside hitter spot–a position that has clearly become a strength for 15 Navy. Keep tabs on this group through the latter half of this AAU wave.
Sattem’s flexibility as a right-side hitter and a middle blocker has paid huge dividends for Nebraska Elite 15 Prime. Her primary role in Orlando has been in the middle, where Sattem shows her aptitude in closing blocks and racking up kills. Nebraska Elite’s depth at the 15s level is still on the rise.

Homan is another surefire addition to our next rankings refresh. The Bellevue East prep star runs a smooth, deceptive offense for River City Jrs 15 Red. Her ability to force the middles has been particularly effective, helping 15 Red get on an impressive run in opening-round AAU matchups.
Wiebelhaus adds to the ever-growing list of talented setters in Nebraska’s Class of 2026. Her pin-to-pin distribution has put Nebraska Elite 15 Xtreme in the spotlight as the pursuit for Gold continues into Tuesday.
