The top 17s team at TP has a ton of talent, most of which have already committed to play somewhere in the fall of '24. Of the remainder, [player_tooltip player_id='457446' first='Mackenzie' last='Scheid'] ('24, 5-11 MB) might be the most college-ready. Miss Scheid is a springy M2 that plays longer and more athletic than her size might dictate. She takes long strides from pin to pin, and attacks high and hard on everything in front of the setter. Hannah Brown ('24, 5-10 RS/MB) is one of many solid attackers from Homestead High School, and is another that can attack from anywhere, but might be best suited to develop as a right side at the next level. She takes up space on the block, makes smart decisions when attacking and is rarely out of position. [player_tooltip player_id='434353' first='Ashley' last='Zent'] ('24, 5-8 DS/L) comes from a winning high school program (Bishop Dwenger) and plays with one of the most successful open-level teams in the midwest. Winning only comes with work ethic, which Ashley has a ton of.

Rare is the USAV national tournament that has TWO teams from Indiana that earned their spots from two different regions. Union, although located in southern Indiana, hails from the Pioneer Region, mostly representing Kentucky ball clubs. With players from both sides of the Ohio River, the three I like from Indiana are defensive-minded and quick on their feet. Eleanor Baldwin ('24, 5-6 DS/L) is one of many defenders from state champ Providence that can wear the special jersey right now at the next level. Her balance and footwork are typical for a Union passer. [player_tooltip player_id='142822' first='Meredith' last='Slaton'] ('24, 5-6 S) might not be big on size, but she has a ton of speed, balance and athleticism to run the offense. [player_tooltip player_id='286684' first='Nevaeh' last='Griffin'] ('24, 5-5 S/DS) hails from Jeffersonville---not quite a volleyball powerhouse in southern Indiana, but one of the best to come out of that school in this author's memory.
