Continue ReadingUSA Jr Nationals, which will be held in Chicago at the end of June and early July, is the ultimate test to the end of the season as it will bring together all of the teams who have earned a bid to participate. These wonderful teams have proven themselves through a very long and grueling club season and will compete against other top notch teams who have earned the right to play in this prestigious tourney. We will be highlighting teams and individual players that we think you should be watching during the tourney in this series of articles. Let’s take a look at a few names to know!
Rancho Valley 16Premier will be competing in the National Division of USA Jr Nationals. They are from the Southern California Region and have been competing in the Open division of national qualifiers all season long. They are battle tested and have some serious stars that you should watch out for. Her are just a few of the names to know from their talented squad.
Saniyah Sobers Saniyah Sobers 5'6" | DS/L Redlands | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-6 Libero (HS: Redlands/Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Saniyah is currently ranked as the 40th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Redlands High School and also plays club for Rancho Valley. I am not sure if there is a faster libero in the age group. She has a wicked first step to the ball and it helps her to always catch up to any ball that the opposing offense tries to shoot to the corners. I love how she is able to cushion hard driven balls and keep them in play on her side of the net. She is the back row force that keeps her squad in contention of not losing the rally. If I were coaching against her, I would definitely keep the ball away from her as much as possible in the serving strategy as she is super consistent in the passing game. Miss Sobers also helps to keep her team super aggressive with her four-step jump float that is pinpoint accurate and also very difficult to pass. I have watched them multiple times in national tournaments this year and she was definitely one of the defensive stars of this talented squad.
Keonahi’ilani Solaita Keonahi’ilani Solaita 5'10" | OH Oak Hills | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-9 Outside (HS: Oak Hills/Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Keonahi’ilani is currently ranked as the 54th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings. She plays volleyball at Oak Hills High School and club for the Rancho Valley volleyball program. Miss Soliata is a silky smooth OH2 who doesn’t come off of the court and does so much for this special team in the ball control side. Her defense is phenomenal as she is able to collapse her entire body well during hard driven balls to absorb the contact. When you watch her play, you see a player who can do it all on the court and has a very high volleyball IQ. While there are players who are taller, she does not make many errors and hits at a very efficient clip from multiple attack angles. Coming from a family of ballers, she has a game that screams, “give me the ball!” You can see her leadership ooze out of every ounce of her play and her team knows they can rely on her consistency to help lead them against top competition.
Morgan Graves Morgan Graves 5'10" | OH Don Antonio Lugo | 2025 State CA [2025] 5-10 Outside (HS: Don Lugo/Club: Rancho Valley/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Morgan is currently an unranked prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig California State Rankings, but that will change in a few months as she is flying up the charts with every explosive swing she takes. She stars on the court at Don Lugo High School and also for the Rancho Valley volleyball club program. Miss Graves is a stud and has caught my eye for sure with her dynamic style of play. She is a sure fire point scoring OH1 who can terminate the ball with the best of them. This young lady has a cannon for an arm and is a point waiting to happen. Any spectator who watches one of her matches is in for a guaranteed show as she has one of the fastest arm swings in her grad class. Morgan stays in all the way around and this squad uses her natural power out of the back row also during play sets from serve receive and free balls. I cannot wait to update the State Rankings, because she will shake them up for sure. Any college scout that wants a terminating outside needs to write her name down and watch her do her thing at nationals.
