The grey in the recruiting world becomes a little more clearer for these athletes as well as these coaches. Plenty of nerves on both ends. Recruiting classes will form, things will take shape. Waiting in the wings is the Class of 2026. These athletes will focus on their training, but can still make introductions to college coaches. They can talk with them at camps, share highlight videos, and give updates via email and social media. The coaches might not be able to write back, but the process can already begin. Here are some 2026s to put on the recruiting board.
Allie Beers Allie Beers 6'0" | MB Slinger | 2026 State WI – Milwaukee Sting (WI)
One of the most dynamic attackers in the Class of 2026, Allie Beers Allie Beers 6'0" | MB Slinger | 2026 State WI is just over 6’0 tall and has been playing out of the middle and right side for the Sting 16 Gold team who has qualified in the USAV 16 Open field. Out of the middle, Beers has a really fast arm and is the fast twitch type who can do a lot of different things. Her ability to attack off one foot is a major attribute to her game where she can do that out of the middle or right side. She’s just a fun athlete and her teammates get so hyped up when she makes a big play in a big moment.
Peyton Carlson Peyton Carlson 5'11" | OH Waupaca | 2026 State WI – FC Elite (WI)
Carlson is a unique talent. She will be one of the top attackers for her high school team this fall in Wisconsin. Her freshman season she was an all state outside hitter. This past club season she played up on the FC Elite 18 Elite team who qualified 18 Open. She was the team’s full time libero. Playing libero at the 18 Open level is no joke. The level of serving is extremely difficult and being able to command the backrow for someone who has never really played that position is no easy feat. She will be among one of the top liberos in the Class of 2026 nationally.
Kayla Nwabueze Kayla Nwabueze 6'2" | MB Bloomfield Hills | 2026 State MI and Gabby DiVita Gabby DiVita 6'1" | OH Grosse Pt. South | 2026 State MI – Legacy (MI)
I had a lot of fun watching this team throughout the season. Seeing them at Northern Lights and Windy City was a time where they were on fire, playing in big matches come day three and proving they were one of the top teams in the country. They will be a heavy favorite for AAU and USAV Nationals. Nwabueze is one of the most dominant middles in the Class of 2026. She is a really fast and physical player who can thump a ball on the ten footline with ease and we well as transition quickly out of her block to hit multiple types of tempos. DiVita played 15s last year where Legacy took home the AAU 15 Open Championship. Her length and athleticism is just different compared to the rest of the 15s field. She’s already been to the Nebraska Dream Team Camp.
Elena Hoecke Elena Hoecke 6'3" | MB Centennial | 2026 State MN – MN Select
Another dominant middle blocker in the Class of 2026. Hoecke has a lot of length and physicality where she can dominate the front line. She’s been playing up an age group on the MN Select 16-1 team who has a lot of athletes who will be working through the recruiting process this summer. She has a lot of potential and a high ceiling where she could be a top recruit not only in the Midwest, but the entire country.
Isabelle Kremer Isabelle Kremer 6'3" | RS Pleasant Valley | 2026 State IA – Iowa Rockets
In Kremer’s freshman year at Pleasant Valley (IA), she was a key player on the team’s state runner-up volleyball team and state championship basketball team in Iowa’s largest class. What Kremer brings to the court is athleticism, length, and versatility. She has a really high contant point and snap from the right side where she can score a lot of points and is a problem for opposing outside hitters with her block. At the Prep Dig Gauntlet she started playing six rotations and showed she could attack from anywhere along the front line. She is another athlete with a high ceiling where coaches will enjoy working with this multisport athlete who knows how to win.
Haley Burgdorf Haley Burgdorf 6'0" | OH St. Charles North | 2026 State IL – Sports Performance (IL)
I was able to see Burgdorf play as a freshman last fall for St. Charles North where she was a standout on the pin for a very talented team. She has been playing for Sports Performance 16 Elite this past club season where she has developed a really fine tuned all around game. She can score points on both pins, she is really strong on the right side where she can hit all the tempos. Next week she will go for a 16 Open AAU National title with her team who will have plenty of coaches on their courts in Orlando.
Elle Schara Elle Schara 5'11" | OH Crown Point | 2026 State IN – Michio (IL)
Schara preps at Crown Point High School in Northwest Indiana which is a hotbed of volleyball. She’s been playing for Michio 15 National out of Chicagoland this past club season where they have a 15 Open bid to USAV Nationals. Schara is a true six rotation outside hitter who can score points from anywhere on the court. She grew up as a libero where she has a really solid foundation of passing and with a growth spurt and her already major hops, she has developed into a terminator. This is a really fun team who will be interesting to see take on the top teams in the country in their backyard for USAV Nationals.
