A truth in recruiting is players are needed at every level into the summer of each class’s senior season. If a player wants to find a spot, it’s out there as long as the athlete understands their ability level and is willing to give a visit to a school they may not be familiar with.
The Divisions can be deceiving, is a top-level D-2 program like Western or Central Washington a better place to play than a 250+ RPI-rated Division 1? You certainly could find yourself playing in front of more fans, with comparable facilities and a chance to make it to the postseason at those GNAC schools, no guarantee at a lower-ranked Division 1 program. High-ranked JC programs will put a hurt on D-3 and NAIA programs in pre-season tournaments every year, it’s all about the fit between the athlete, the school, and the volleyball program. 2024 prospects are going to continue to find their spots this summer and fall as they get on to campus and coaches can make a connection- here are ten 2024 athletes that should be a steal for a program next season.

Whitley is always going to give you strong, physical play in the middle- she is also a leader who fires up her teammates as well. Club Gold had a solid season, making a run to Nationals behind the Kamiakin stand out, expect her to put together a big time senior campaign.
Jones is possibly under the radar as a prospect, however, her game is anything but. She spent the season dishing dimes for Space Needle, finding great matchups for her attackers and playing steady defense. She squares up nicely, her footwork is repeatable and she doesn’t give her choice of set away to the defense.
It will be interesting to see where Gamby’s versatile skill set lands her position-wise collegiately. She has the hands to set and can go against the flow comfortably or push a ball to the pin. However, when coaches watch her defensive ability to cover hitters, go skidding across the floor with abandon to pick up a tip combined with her fiery personality- it’s easy to project a future libero. In either case you will have a dynamic athlete that can set and play gritty defense, an awesome combo for the setter or libero spot.

Her tempo and location running a fast offense caused problems for NPJ opponents, and she is always getting a touch on tips and shots defensively to keep rallies alive for her squad. Cai should have opportunities to run the offense for a team at the collegiate level.
