No better way to end the club season than with the illustrious USA Girls Junior National Championships every year.
With some of the best talents from across the country on tap, the gym is red hot with top notch competition. This year was no different for the championships, upsets galore, heavy weights falling and fresh faces atop the podium.
Let’s take a look at some of the best of the best throughout the field. Up next – the top wing attackers in the 16 Open.
Teraya Sigler Teraya Sigler 6'3" | OH Horizon | 2025 #1 Nation AZ – Arizona Storm
The MOP of the entire tournament, there is not a single question as to why. Teraya Sigler Teraya Sigler 6'3" | OH Horizon | 2025 #1 Nation AZ is THAT GIRL! I have said this before, her play is very reminiscent of a Logan Eggleston‘s out of Texas. Sigler is a ferocious attacker, poised defender and an impeccable leader. Despite being down by over five points in each of the sets to 1st Alliance in the final, Sigler was the driving force behind the comebacks and win!
Kelly Kinney Kelly Kinney 6'2" | OH The King’s Academy | 2025 State #15 Nation FL – Tribe
This player does a lot of big things for this Tribe team. In system, out of system, in the front court or in the back court, she’s always an available outlet to get Tribe out of trouble and back in the game.
Addison Gaido Addison Gaido 6'5" | RS Georgetown | 2025 State #45 Nation TX – Austin Skyline
Mighty at 6’5 in the front and a fluid mover in the back court, Gaido’s presence for Skyline does a lot of great things on the court. Her net play is quite daunting to get toe to toe with and her back court play for her size is formidable as well.
Sophia Thornburg Sophia Thornburg 6'3" | OH Ursuline Academy | 2025 State TX – Drive Nation
This Drive Nation team has a lot of nice pieces and one of those pieces on the pins, Thornburg takes this team on her back and runs. A consistent presence for Nation, she’s never taking the play off and she plays the game with grace and poise!
Alicia Beers – MKE Sting
A younger player for this top tier Sting squad, Beers made herself known to the opponent and the audience quite quickly. On the right pin, Beers was seemingly unstoppable. Her shot selection along with her pace on the ball left many without answers.
Gabriella Babinski Gabriella Babinski 6'1" | RS South Lyon East | 2025 State MI – Michigan Elite
Another imposing right side from the midwest, Babinski is a fun watch on and off the court. Her physicality and net play is quite fun to see in action, she hits the back third of the court with a lot of pace and can be a go-to attacker in crunch time.
Bellamie Beus – Idaho Crush ‘ last=”]h
Another younger player stepping up to the big dogs in 16 Open, Beus plays well beyond what her age suggests. She’s going up big, swinging hard and making the hard plays look easy! Beus was often times relied upon to dig Crush ‘ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”]’ last=”] out of some holes and never stepped back from the challenge.
Bre McMillan – Triangle
Lefty attackers always have a special place in my heart. This one is no different. A big thumper on the court, whether she is at the net or storming out of the back court on the D Ball, McMillan is going to hammer away.
