This was for much needed college exposure and also for those who wanted to get in front of our scouts to get on our watch list and possibly either get ranked or move up the rankings. Many players stood out to our court coaches and scouts throughout the entire showcase for a variety of reasons. The players we will highlight in this series were what we call Game Changers. This means that when they are on the court for a team, they literally can change the game with their physical skill set. There were quite a few of them so we are going to split this up into a series. Let’s take a look at a few of the Game Changers for the Dallas Stock Up Showcase.
Nekhaela Rogers Nekhaela Rogers 6'0" | MB Centennial | 2025 State #145 Nation TX [2025] 6-1 Middle (HS: Centennial/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Nekhaela is currently ranked as the 34th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings and will likely be moving up when I update them in few weeks. She plays for Centennial High School and also club for the nationally recognized Dallas Skyline program. Miss Rogers was an absolute beast at the net defensively. There were many hitters who were very frustrated because her blocking was on another level. I watched many rallies in which she blocked multiple hitters in a row. It was such a fun sight to see. The Great Wall of China has nothing on what she showed at the net. Offensively she can be characterized as a big gun who can run every route in the middle route tree. She presents a huge target for any setter and was always on time for a very fast tempo. I guarantee when you watch her play, you will see the high-flying and hard hitting beast I saw. If you have not seen her play, I strongly encourage every scout in America to take a look. You will not be disappointed in what you see. Please help us congratulate her on earning the Game Changer award.
Sydney Strenger Sydney Strenger 6'1" | MB Emerson | 2025 State TX [2025] 6-1 Middle (HS: Emerson/Club: Dallas Skyline/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Syd is currently ranked as the 94th best overall prospect in the 2025 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but will be moving up when I update them in a few weeks. She plays at Emerson High School and also plays for the nationally recognized Dallas Skyline volleyball club program. Miss Strenger could have easily been in the running for MVP if we had that award to give out. There were times where she was flat out unstoppable at the net offensively. It didn’t matter whether the team was in system or out of system…she was always ready to attack with power against anyone. There were very few times in which she got blocked or slowed down. Syd showed an uncanny ability to thread the needle between the seam of the block or just turn on the ball in mid-air and hit a sharp angle around the block. She is a very special player who needs to be on every college coach’s radar now. I have watched her all season long and she has gotten better and better with each rep on the court. Her personality is the type that any coach would want on their roster as she brings a very enjoyable aspect to a team. Players love playing with her and it is apparent why when you watch her on the court.
Shea Bruntmyer Shea Bruntmyer 5'8" | S Abilene Christian | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-8 Setter (HS: Abilene Christian/Club: Tejas/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Shea is currently ranked as the 83rd best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but will be moving up when I update them in a few weeks. She plays at Abilene Christian High School and also for the Tejas club program. I have covered Shea for a while now and I am not sure there is a harder worker in the state than her. She is a very determined young lady and I firmly believe she is going to go far in life…not just volleyball. Her form and technique are flawless and it is because of tons of hard work that went into it. The ball comes out super fast and I love how she runs her middles even during out of system plays. This kind of ball movement is why I know she is going to flourish at the next level. I love everything about the way she carries herself on and off the court. Even though she is committed to Pepperdine University, she still continues to train at every private lesson, clinic, and showcase she can. This will tell all of our readers exactly the type of person she is and why we have fallen in love with covering her. I strongly encourage any young player to follow her on social media and emulate what she is about. Please congratulate her on being named a Game Changer.
