Hot Hitters at the Indiana Stock Up Showcase

<p>I must confess that I love watching hitters hone their craft. These showcases are a perfect place to do that. There is something special about putting all of these great hitters in one place and letting them play each other without the stress of a state competition or something else like that. These athletes below were exceptional while I watched them at the showcase, so let's talk about them.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='332517' first='Maggie' last='Hollon']</h2>   <p>Hollon is a 5'10" outside in the class of 2025 from Warsaw Community High School. Hollon is light as the air. She can get way up high and then slice a ball through the defense. She is scrappy and can pop a ball back up that seemed unsalvageable. She is a real team player as well as all of her other great qualities. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='386928' first='Emmy' last='Nasser']</h2>   <p>Nasser is a 5'9" outside hitter in the class of 2025 from Avon High School. Nasser is a powerful hitter. She doesn't tool around the block, she just goes through it. She is very determined and the ball is not hitting the ground around her. She is very athletic, quick, and precise with her shots. Steers put on a show at the event last weekend. She had a great vertical, got up on top of the ball, and exhibited power with her shots. She was also a scrappy athlete who would sacrifice her hands and body to make a play. She showed that she wanted to win and displayed a determined attitude while playing. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='192107' first='Sadie' last='Poeck']</h2>   <p>Poeck is a 6' outside hitter from Zionsville High School's class of 2025. Poeck is a great hitter that can play anywhere in the front row. She gets high up there and then it is time for a smackdown. She is very impressive with her height, her ability to jump, and how she moves. I would probably pick her for my all-star team if I were picking one, but I wouldn't know exactly where I would put her for sure. Wadle is a very resourceful athlete who wastes nothing while on the court. Her hands were everywhere either blocking or hitting, sometimes just dinking the ball a little to put it on the floor. She is a very hard athlete to defend and is a joy to watch play. She is entering her junior year and if she is not already committed, I would snap her up. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='435128' first='Charlotte' last='Dudik']</h2>   <p>Dudik is 5'9" right-side hitter from [program_tooltip program_id='430077' first='Bishop' last='Chatard'] High School's class of 2026. Dudik can fly when she jumps. She blocks great. She is very athletic, flexible, and a powerful hitter. She is the type of athlete every team hopes they have on their roster. Every team wants an athlete that is scrappy and just happens to have their hands in the right place all the time to either help a play develop or stop one from opponents. If I were a betting person, I would bet she plays multiple sports and is successful at all of them. I really enjoyed watching her perform.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='216037' first='Gabie' last='Francis']</h2>   <p>Francis is a 5'11" outside hitter from Indian Creek High School's class of 2026. Francis is going to get the ball over the net, it is not a question. She is a very determined athlete with a lot of power in her hands. She has some muscle that she puts to very good use putting up a block or slamming a kill. She is very quick, athletic, and very scrappy which is helpful on the court always.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='301139' first='Macie' last='Smith']</h2>   <p>Smith is a 6' outside hitter from Hamilton Heights High School's class of 2026. Smith has what I call "nasty" hits. You know, the kind you hope you don't have to block or dig up. When she touches the ball it is almost a foregone conclusion that she has a kill. She is good at hitting in bounds too, which is great. She keeps it within the lines, which I love, and is harder to do than it sounds when an athlete is hitting hard. She has amazing control and looked so good at the showcase. It is hard to believe she is a sophomore and still has all of that time to develop even more. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">[player_tooltip player_id='301140' first='Adriana' last='Williams']</h2>   <p>Williams is a 5'10" outside hitter in the 2026 class from Indian Creek High School. Williams is very strong and that gives her some serious power. She has a great vertical, a great swing, and she is great with out-of-system play. She was very determined with her movements. She is not a casual hitter, she is a serious athlete. She seemed like she had a plan all the time and if that didn't work out, that was okay, she had another one that she could make work. She is a very smart athlete. </p>
