Already with national success at the club level, there’s a lot of promising prospects that we can expect to see play at the Division 1 college level when that time comes.
Some were on hand for the Michigan Stock Up Showcase last Saturday.
Here’s the second part of our player evaluations for this class.
Isabella Hormillosa Isabella Hormillosa 5'4" | OH Cousino | 2026 MI , OH Cousino
Hormillosa had a tall task during the showcase as a 5’4” outside competing against a lot of size and power at the net. However, Hormillosa really held her own. She didn’t look intimidated at all. Hormillosa was active defensively at the net. She battled hard to make some plays with her strong vertical and court vision. Her attacks had a lot of good technique and she was able to put home some impressive power shots. Where she can succeed is with her high court IQ. Mixing in the offspeed shots while playing well defensively will be where she can best make an impact.
Taniya Radden Taniya Radden 5'9" | MB Ottawa Hills | 2026 State MI , MH Ottawa/MVA
Radden has a lot of promise with her swing ability. Her arm speed is very quick and that allows her to bring a lot of power to the net. Radden also took on some aggressive attack angles and was successful with them. As she adds to her defensive game, she has the potential to be a top-level six-rotation player. Her hitting should continue to get better, which is scary for opponents to think about.
Brooke Steeves Brooke Steeves 5'5" | S Mattawan | 2026 State MI , S Mattawa/USA Michigan
Steeves was a great hustle player that tried to take some chances throughout the showcase. She played with a lot of competitive fire, while maintaining a positive presence on the floor and with her peers. As a setter, Steeves tried to push a fast pace with her hitters and was willing to be aggressive and call her own number. She tried to mix things up and keep defenses guessing. While it wasn’t always successful, it kept her opponents thinking and on their heels.
Lily Sukup Lily Sukup 5'10" | OH Goodrich | 2026 State MI , OH Goodrich/Five:1
Sukup had a good foundational skillset that allowed her to make some impressive plays in all aspects of the game. Her defensive play was among the best of the outsides in the showcase. She covered a lot of ground and was relentless in her pursuit of making a dig. Offensively, Sukup had a smooth swing that put consistent pop on the ball. She limited attack errors by playing smart attack angles and knowing when to put more loft on her shots.
Elizabeth White Elizabeth White 5'4" | DS/L Saline | 2026 State MI , DS/L Saline/HVVC
Saline has been able to produce some solid defensive talent and White looks like she will fit that bill. White has a very composed and natural feel in the back row, but she is also aggressive at getting to each play. She covers a lot of ground and does a good job of directing the traffic defensively. White has smooth feeds to the setter and never looked overwhelmed.
Jolie Yaldoo Jolie Yaldoo 5'0" | DS/L Marian | 2026 State MI , DS/L Marian/Michigan Elite
Yaldoo is another promising defender for the Marian program. Her serve receive skills were among the best in the showcase. She had a good feel for when to attack the pass and got solid first contact throughout the day. Yaldoo relied on her diving ability to make some sound passes as well. She timed things up smoothly. Regardless of her approach, Yaldoo looked in control and was consistent, which is what you need in a defender.
