Class of 2024 State Ranking Stock Risers Vol 2

The upward movement of some of the top 175 players is something we are proud of.&nbsp; We have been watching the 2024 class very closely throughout the entire club season. &nbsp;A lot of the analysis has come from watching these players in person and also by watching the amazing footage that has been uploaded to everyone's recruiting profiles.&nbsp; We have been talking to a lot of coaches across the country and this class is littered with college prospects.&nbsp; The following players showed us all that they deserved to be moved up the rankings due to their individual performances.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='142203' first='Carson' last='Eickenloff']&nbsp;[2024] 5-6 Setter (HS: Boyd/Club:&nbsp;Drive Nation/Verbal: Ole Miss)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":344692,"width":123,"height":138,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2023/03/Carson-Eickenloff-e1678848687242.jpg?w=913" alt="" class="wp-image-344692" style="width:123px;height:138px" width="123" height="138" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carson has moved up in the rankings again in this update and is now ranked as the 19^th best overall prospect and 4^th best setter in the 2024 class in the entire state of Texas.&nbsp; She plays at Boyd High School and played this past season at the Drive Nation&nbsp;volleyball club program.&nbsp; I watched her very closely this past club season and she wowed me with every set attempt.&nbsp; Her ability to feed the middles whether in system or out of system is remarkable.&nbsp; I also loved how she evenly distributed the ball to all of her wonderful attackers she had.&nbsp; Just when the defense thought they knew where she was going with the ball, Carson would surprise everyone and go against the flow of the pass.&nbsp; She played amazing defense and was not afraid to battle at the net during front row lineups.&nbsp; Her athleticism is off the charts and she will do wonders for the Ole Miss program when she arrives on campus next year.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate her on earning a top spot in our State Rankings.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='254299' first='Shea' last='Bruntmyer'] [2024] 5-8 Setter (HS: Abilene Christian/Club: Tejas/Verbal: Pepperdine)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":434534,"width":140,"height":124,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2023/07/803-Shea-Bruntmyer.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-434534" style="width:140px;height:124px" width="140" height="124" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shea made a huge jump in the rankings in this update.&nbsp; She went from being ranked as the 83^rd&nbsp;best overall prospect to now being listed as the 40^th best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.&nbsp; She plays at Abilene Christian High School and also for the Tejas club program.&nbsp;Here is a little from the last article we wrote about her, “<em>I have covered Shea for a while now and I am not sure there is a harder worker in the state than her.&nbsp; She is a very determined young lady and I firmly believe she is going to go far in life…not just volleyball.&nbsp; Her form and technique are flawless and it is because of tons of hard work that went into it. The ball comes out super fast and I love how she runs her middles even during out of system plays. This kind of ball movement is why I know she is going to flourish at the next level. I love everything about the way she carries herself on and off the court.&nbsp; Even though she is committed to Pepperdine University, she still continues to train at every private lesson, clinic, and showcase she can.&nbsp; This will tell all of our readers exactly the type of person she is and why we have fallen in love with covering her.&nbsp; I strongly encourage any young player to follow her on social media and emulate what she is about.”&nbsp; </em>I love when hard work gets rewarded and this young lady has definitely earned this.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate her on moving up the rankings due to her body of work that she is putting in.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245945' first='MJ' last='McCurdy']&nbsp;[2024] 6-0 Outside (HS: Liberty/Club:&nbsp;[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last='']/Verbal: Texas State)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:image {"align":"right","id":206062,"width":157,"height":113,"sizeSlug":"large","linkDestination":"none"} --> <figure class="wp-block-image alignright size-large is-resized"><img src="https://prepdig.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/5/2022/07/113-Mary-Jane-MJ-McCurdy.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-206062" style="width:157px;height:113px" width="157" height="113" /></figure> <!-- /wp:image --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Mary Jane has moved up in this update of the rankings.&nbsp; She went from being ranked as the 64^th&nbsp;best overall prospect to now the 41^st best overall prospect in the state according to the 2024 Prep Dig Texas State Rankings.&nbsp; She plays for Liberty High School and plays club for the famed&nbsp;[program_tooltip program_id='431200' first='Madfrog' last=''] volleyball program.&nbsp; I wrote an article on her a while back and here is a refresher of what I stated,&nbsp;<em>“There are outside hitters and then there are true point scorers.&nbsp; MJ can rack up kills in a hurry and hits the ball at a very high clip, meaning she is super efficient with her scoring.&nbsp; When I first came across this name that was rising up the kill charts a few years ago, it surprised me because I had not heard about her until that point.&nbsp;I learned who she was very quickly. &nbsp;While some players may shy away from the big moment at crucial times, MJ relishes in those moments for any team she is on.&nbsp; The bright lights are on and this kid is on the main stage doing her thing at a very high level.”</em>&nbsp; <em>MJ is a star and she finally found her home for the next four years.&nbsp; She is going to be what we like to call an immediate impact player at the next level. &nbsp;We are proud to announce that she has committed to playing volleyball at Texas State University.”&nbsp; </em>Due to her entire body of work that I watched in a couple of national events this year, it was a no brainer to move her up in the rankings.&nbsp; Please help us congratulate her on the honor of moving up over twenty spots.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>As always stay tuned for more articles on your favorite athletes.&nbsp; If you have anyone you think we should watch out for, please shoot me an email with some info at <a href="mailto:Michael@prepdig.com">Michael@prepdig.com</a>.&nbsp; Also don't forget to help these kids get more exposure by sharing our stories with your friends.&nbsp; Help us help them by simply retweeting on Twitter or sharing on Facebook.&nbsp; Thanks for following us, Prep Dig Texas Family!&nbsp; Don't be afraid to interact with us.&nbsp; We love the likes, shares, and quotes/comments.&nbsp; Keep them coming!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
