Alyssa Young Alyssa Young 5'8" | DS/L Blue Valley West | 2026 State KS – 2026 – Blue Valley West
We’ve seen Young a few times over the course of the last year and are confident her numbers will increase in her sophomore season. Last year, she saw action in 81 sets and had 120 digs as a defensive specialist.
Katie Phillips Katie Phillips 5'4" | DS/L Blue Valley West | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Blue Valley West
Another Blue Valley West player we expect to see continue their level of play is the 5’4″ Phillips. She also acquired quite a bit of time in the back row in 2022. She played in 99 sets and had 169 digs on the season.
Avery Baker Avery Baker 5'4" | DS/L Olathe North | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Olathe North
Baker returns in 2023 and will surely increase her 275 digs from a season ago. She saw the court in 73 sets and averaged just under 4 digs per set. In her first two seasons of varsity ball, she has an output of just under 300 digs per year.
Summer Anderson Summer Anderson 5'7" | DS/L Blue Valley Northwest | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Blue Valley Northwest
After graduation, it’s possible we could see Anderson in the Libero jersey this fall. She showed she is capable of handling duties in the back row after a year of garnering 211 digs.
Alex Klukvin Alex Klukvin 5'7" | DS/L Olathe Northwest | 2025 State KS – 2025 – Olathe Northwest
Klukvin made a name for herself this club season with strong defensive play and that will be counted on this fall again for Olathe Northwest, who looks to make another run towards a state tournament. She had a tad over 200 digs last year.
Mia Maples – 2024 – Wichita North
Maples only played in 53 sets a season ago but showed with more sets her numbers can be higher in 2023. She had 197 digs in her junior season.
Amya Xayavong – 2024 – Wichita Southeast
The 5’5″ defender made some good plays a year ago in Wichita to the tune of 3 digs per set. She was able to take the floor in 74 sets and dug up 225 balls along the way.
