The latest 2025 Rankings update is up and live!

Showcasing a lot of movement throughout this class with another year of club season under their belt. Rankings are done with consideration of resumes to date, considerations from coaches across the country that include college and club, as well as college projections.

Let's take a look at the latest 2024 Rankings update in Michigan. Focusing on the Top Ten!

The Top Three

Without a doubt, kicking off our list and atop the 2025 rankings for yet another update is S [player_tooltip player_id='156295' first='Campbell' last='Flynn'] (Mercy/Legacy). Flynn has somewhat been the undisputed queen of the 2025 class since her inception to the game. As the top of the Michigan rankings, Flynn is one of the top players in the nation. The Nebraska commit is currently running the courts with Team USA for the U19 World Championships in Croatia. Starting every single match thus far, Flynn has led the squad to a 5-0 record entering the knockout rounds. Flynn was also recently named to the U21 team, who will be competing in the U21 World Championships in Mexico.

Next up, Flynn's right hand woman atop the Michigan rankings, OH [player_tooltip player_id='156343' first='Navea' last='Gauthier'] (Shelby/FaR Out). Gauthier is another one of those special players who has been dominating the scene since her first steps onto the court. Much like Flynn, Gauthier has become a regular within the USA Gym and the pipeline program, USA NDTP. Within the Mitten, Gauthier is one of the top active scorers in the MHSAA. The Ohio State commit recorded well over 800 kills in her sophomore season, and looks to do similar damage this fall. With FaR Out, Gauthier played up on both the 17 Black and 18 Black squads where she was big time in leading 17 Black to a top five finish at AAU Nationals and 18 Black to a National Championship at Emperor's Cup.

Rounding out the top 3, we have another USA NDTP attendee, L [player_tooltip player_id='156321' first='McKenna' last='Payne'] (St. Mary's Catholic Central/Michigan Elite). Much like Gauthier, Payne can pat herself on the back for quite the sophomore year with her respective teams. In the fall, Payne delivered in many different capacities. At points, she was hitting, next she was in the jersey, and then i even saw Payne break out the butter, setting! In the club circuit, Payne led the defense of one of the best teams in the country for the 16 Open. Payne recently announced her commitment to the University of Utah, a long time dream of Payne's. And with the recent conference realignments, Payne will see many familiar faces across the net.

The 4-7

At NO. 4, we have one of the hottest new names on the scene from the year, MB [player_tooltip player_id='288945' first='Victoria' last='Gray'] (Bedford/Michigan Elite). Nobody had heads turning the way Gray did when she stepped on the court. In the fall, Gray went for a .500 hit percentage on the season and averaged over a block per set. At this time however, Gray was still very much a top basketball prospect. This all changed throughout the winter however. Starting off on MiElite's 18 Mizuno squad to try and get her feet wet. Shortly thereafter, Gray caught the bug and joined the already impressive 16 Mizuno squad. Now, with volleyball on the mind, Gray's stock is surely to rise over the next few years as she continues to grow in her game. Even with limited play, Gray has big looks from some impressive ACC programs.

Rounding out the top five, we have an 2023 AAU All-American and 2022 State Champ, OH [player_tooltip player_id='156287' first='Isabelle' last='Busignani'] (Marian/Michigan Elite). This recent Cincinnati commit has had herself quite the career thus far. As a freshman, she was the first man off of the bench for a stack Marian squad and the leader in a top three finishing squad at AAUs with MiElite. Fast forward to these last 12 months, Busignani led Marian to their third straight title and led MiElite to not only a runner-up finish at AAUs but a top ten finish at GJNC.

Coming in at No. 6, we have the piece that put the entire puzzle together for her teams, S [player_tooltip player_id='156293' first='Ella' last='Craggs'] (Northville/Michigan Elite). One of the top setters in the country for the 2025 class, Craggs did more than prove her worth in her sophomore year. With Northville, Craggs was named a Second Team All-State performer after leading the Mustangs to a Division 1 Championship game. With Elite, the results were very similar. Craggs went on to be named an All-American at AAU Nationals after appearing in the 16 Open Championship.

Closing out the mid-section of the Top Ten 2025 rankings, we have another future Big XII player, MB [player_tooltip player_id='156299' first='Olivia' last='Grenadier'] (Detroit Country Day/Legacy). This future Colorado Buff continues to shine in this highly competitive class. Grenadier gets huge props for the load she took on this last club season. Maybe one of the highest scoring middles in the country, Grenadier's ability to hit any ball given to her was impressive. Whether a quick ball on the net, or a higher ball with the setter 15-20 feet off, she always made it work. A season after winning the National Championship in 15 Open, Grenadier was huge in Legacy's top five finish at AAUs.

The 8-10

Coming down the stretch now. We have another elite middle blocker to come out of east Michigan, MB [player_tooltip player_id='156307' first='Shelby' last='Ignash'] (Cass City/Michigan Elite). Sophomore year proved huge for this No. 8 ranked player. On the volleyball court, Ignash led the Red Hawks to their first ever final four appearance and was named a First Team All-State performer in Division 3. In her first season of Open level club ball, Ignash was a starter for the powerhouse 16 Mizuno team. Off the volleyball court, Ignash was an All-Stater performer in basketball and softball. The latter, she led the Hawks to a Quarter Final appearance before heading down to AAU Nationals.

[player_tooltip player_id='156313' first='Marie' last='Laurio']

At No. 9, we have another product of the MiElite/SMCC pipeline. OH [player_tooltip player_id='156292' first='Jessica' last='Costlow'] (SMCC/Michigan Elite) saw huge gains in her play this last year. Once a middle blocker, once a libero, now a six rotation outside hitter. Costlow has found her spot and ran away with it. For a second season in a row, Costlow was named a D3 First Team All-State with the Kestrals. In club, Costlow's versatility gave Elite so many options. One of the top passers for the squad, Costlow's range of shots proved frustrating for opponents as well.

From one six rotation outside, to the next. Closing out the Top Ten breakdown of the 2025 class, we have OH [player_tooltip player_id='156313' first='Marie' last='Laurio'] (Saline/Legacy). Talk about players who's stock saw a surge, Laurio was huge in 2022-2023. In the fall, Laurio had to step up big time as Saline's outlet on the left pin and primary passer. She knocked down over 400 kills en route to a Division 1 Final Four - a program first for Saline. Similarly with Legacy, this Syracuse commit had to elevate her overall game with the loss of [player_tooltip player_id='226886' first='Gabby' last='DiVita'] from the season prior. Laurio not only took on this challenge, but thrived in her newfound role.
