2026 Michigan Elite Club Profile: 17 Mizuno

Lenhard has been a dominant force for Garber for years. Her length and power combination make her very difficult to limit. Jones (Belmont) is a very explosive outside that moves smoothly around the court. Biermann also plays with a lot of balance in her game and she's always composed and ready to make a momentum-swinging play. Giroux is coming off being our D2 Player of the Year for Flat Rock. She's got the intensity and athleticism to be a next-level player.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Explosive Middles</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>To complement the outsides, Michigan Elite features middles <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523905' first='Madisyn' last='Bowman']</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='526729' first='Elizabeth' last='Nordstrom']</strong>, and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='804803' first='Avery' last='Stewart']</strong>. Bowman brings elite length to the floor at 6'2” and she's got a motor that doesn't let up. Nordstrom has a lot of power in her attacks and has been showing improved footwork each year. Stewart (Troy) is a standout from Midland, where's she been able to play anywhere along the net and take over a match. The 6-footer is a big difference-maker in the middle.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Setting High Standards</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Michigan Elite is able to utilize <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442978' first='Eleanor' last='Williams'] </strong>and <strong>Annelise Weber </strong>as its two setters. Williams has been making a big name for herself at Romeo as a setter/hitter combo. Williams has great agility and awareness on the court. She's able to push a fast pace and knows when to turn on the ball herself. Weber was sidelined by injury for most of the prep season, but she's bounced back very strong and showcasing what makes her one of the best setters in the 2027 class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Fiery Defenders</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Michigan Elite isn't lacking in energy and enthusiasm in the back row behind the play of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523872' first='Anika' last='Jaroszewski']</strong>. Mirovsky is a great energy player that passes that on to her teammates with her play and work ethic. No matter the situation, Mirovsky finds ways to come through in pressure moments. Jaroszewski is really smooth in her serve receive and play in the back court. She's been a big asset to the Michigan Elite defense and keeps taking her play up another gear.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Expectations</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Michigan Elite should feel like it's got the goods to compete with anyone. While suffering some losses at Triple Crown, they found ways to grind out three, three-set wins. They were in each match and just needed a few points to have a very different outcome. The Sunshine Classic also saw 17 Mizuno win five of its last six to close out on a high note. This team can get on a real run when they get going. As chemistry keeps building, it should lead to more and more win streaks. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
