Michelyn is an incredibly talented setter. I got to see her play at the Battle at the Bay and she immediately stood out as one of the top setters there. She has a clean touch on the ball and a powerful release. Her sets are still consistent when she is on the move and she is gritty and athletic in her play. Michelyn is smart and has excellent court awareness, spreading her offense well and utilizing every hitter to their fullest potential.
Claire stood out to me at the Stock Up Showcase. She is a huge communicator on the court. What I love about her talk is it always has a purpose – she adds a lot of value in what she is saying to her teammates both during and after plays. She has excellent hands when setting out of system balls and makes quick, clean digs on tough swings. Claire is an athlete with massive potential in this class.
Don’t take your eye off of Allison Bostley Allison Bostley 6’3″ | MB Verona | 2025 State WI . She has near-infinite potential and is already playing at a high level. Allison is dynamic and can play on both the right side and out of the middle. She was a part of the Badger Region High-Performance Camp earlier this summer and is always looking to improve her game. Allison is powerful and consistent on both offense and defense.
Highlights
Avery is a scrappy yet powerful 6-rotation outside hitter. She gets great touches on defense and in coverage. Her approach is explosive and she can dominate on the pin. Avery takes big, aggressive swings and gets big kills as a result. She is an impact athlete on nearly every play she is on the court for.
Highlights
Mariska is very consistent as a setter. She can make the same from across the court. What initially caught my eye about Mariska’s play was her confidence and ability to utilize her middle even when the pass pulled her off the net. She keeps every single hitter as an option on every single play. Her good form and quick feet set her up for success.
Ally shows a lot of grit on the court. She will hustle and run down tough balls and is relentless for her team from start to finish. She never stops fighting for a point and will give every ounce of energy she has. Ally has the potential to run a 5-1 and is a solid blocker. She is a great defender in both the front and back row and adds a lot of value in her other skills as well as setting.
Keaten is a naturally talented blocker. She has a huge presence at the net and uses every inch of her height to stop opponents from earning points. Keaten is disciplined in her form and is a high-level first line of defense. She has a lot of potential to be a talented offensive weapon as well. Her ability to transition and stay engaged on nearly every play helps her get great contacts and kills on offense.
Kirsten is a dynamic athlete who is starting to make a name for herself. She has clean form and is a great communicator. Kirsten runs her offense very smoothly and is always looking for the best opportunities for her hitters. She is a leader and talented athlete that caught my eye this past season.
Abby has flown a bit under the radar, but her performance this past season and at the Badger Region High-Performance Camp is turning heads. She has enormous potential and not only plays competitively as an individual but also elevates those around her. She is a middle to keep an eye on in this class and one who I think will continue to impress the next few years.
Lauren is another talented middle in this class. She has excellent court awareness and always seems to know where her teammates are around her, something that is incredibly challenging to do. She makes smart heads-up plays out of the middle and is very aggressive at the net. Lauren has all of the makings of a great middle hitter and will be a fun athlete to watch continue to grow in the sport of volleyball.
