Queens of the Quads: UPDATED NEW Facility, NEW Schedule

The first ever Prep Dig Queens of the Quads is ready.  The schedule is posted (with a few adjustments) and we are ready to get out there for one more event before the high school season begins!

What Is The NEW Facility? What Is The NEW Schedule?

We mentioned earlier that we ran into a little facility snag. We will be moving the event from the Community First Champion Center and going to The Barn is Menasha which is just of 441 on the East side of Appleton. This facility is home to FC Elite . This will allow us to have more matches for athletes with a start time of 9AM and we will conclude around 5 PM.

For a full schedule that includes athletes participating, pools, and brackets CLICK HERE.

What Are The Scoring Rules?

We are going to shorten the games a little bit with the winning set score being 21 points.  This is common in some smaller high school tournaments and adult quad tournaments.  This will make matches go a little quicker and make sure we stay within the time frame.

When Should Athletes Arrive?

There will be a meeting for all athletes starting at 8:30 on Courts 1 and 2 at the Barn, home of FC Elite where the address is N8770 Lake Park Rd, Menasha, WI 54952. I will be going over some of the rules and how we will be reporting scores for the evening. This will be comparable to an adult quads tournament where the athletes will manage a lot of the game play.

The purpose of the event was to give athletes a chance to choose their teams, have fun with their friends, and just play volleyball.  There will be no refs, no admission, just having fun and playing volleyball.

What's The Vibe?

Music will be playing during the event, athletes will receive a shirt, but do not need to wear the shirt during the event.  If teams want to coordinate their attire, by all means do so.  Have fun with it.

With a laid back atmosphere, we still want teams to play with safety and honesty.  Athletes will call their own game.  If there is anything in question, replay the point.  We will have a mediator/tournament coordinator, but we want the athletes to work through the questionable calls together.  In regards to safety, please be extra careful around the net.  I know these athletes are competitive, but we want to see you healthy for the start of the high school season.

Do Athletes Need To Bring Volleyballs?

Prep Dig will provide the game balls that will stay at the table, however teams will need to bring their own volleyballs to warm up with.  Remember there are four, maybe five on a team, not ten so two or three volleyballs should be enough.

Final Thoughts?

No Refs

No Coaches

No Admission

Just Play Volleyball

*And we also have a shiny prize fit for Queens that will be awarded to the champions :)
